This is my third or fourth personal HX Outdoors knife purchase. (I have purchased a few other for friends, nieces, co-workers and more.) And this one is absolutely one of my favorites! I love the feel, balance and sharpness of this blade. I loved that it had a fire starter in the sheath. I appreciate that the sheath design has some drainholes in the bottom, so water doesn't get stuck in there. This is just a fantastic value! I wish I had purchased two!

Got this for my teenage grandson. He goes on regular camping/hunting trips with his Dad. I wanted to get him a good knife that we wouldn’t cry too much about if it was damaged or lost. Got it on sale. Deer season is almost over and this knife performs well beyond my expectations. It’s the right size for most tasks. It is surprisingly strong and holds a good edge. Pleasantly surprised.

First of all great presentation, although a bit wasteful. Knife is sharp, and strong. Handle is comfortable and doesn't slip in your hand, even wet. Good size for most tasks, not to bulky, allows for easier handling. Ferro rod works great, and the whistle is loud. When you push the knife into the sheath, and it stops it does rattle a little bit, but if you push a little further the knife goes into the sheath properly and sit quietly with no rattle. Just gotta push past the first stop. Overall great buy, would definitely recommend.

This knife is everything you would need in an outdoor knife. The sheath, while it does have a plastic feel, is made well. Excellent retention on both the knife and the fire starter. The handle is extremely ergonomic although the rubber may cause some hot spots with heavy wood working. The blade came sharp and has a very thick spine. Oddly enough hx offers this model and a more premium one. I prefer this one.

Good quality blade steel not super sharp just needed a little honing on the strop, the finish on the blade is not durable it flakes off, good grip on the handles, just a bit under 9 1/2 inches overall length, lightweight and balanced, sheath is retentive and versatile, good value.

Love this knife. Great quality. Great grip on the handle, thick blade , durable sheathe and blade, love the feel of it, as well as the sheathe and the set up of the Ferro rod built into it. Great idea putting the rod in the sheathe. Best fixed blade and sheathe I've bought and for the price, you absolutely cannot beat it. Will definitely be shopping with this company again. Already have a second just to have and it's still in the box.

Monster bang for your bucks!!! Thick, full tang, cool sheath, with small whisle and ferro rod in sheath. Very stout camp/survival knife. Makes an excellent gift for yourself, a friend or family. Highly recommend.
