We’ve been using puppy pads for years because we don’t crate our dogs when we leave the house. For years we’ve been paying $29.99 for 100 30”x23” pee pads at a warehouse club, which is $0.29/each. They are dependable pee pads that absorb a lot of liquid and don’t usually leak unless our dogs use the same one over and over while we’re gone. Our current pee pads also sometimes shift around when our dogs “circle” to do their business and this inevitably causes some accidents on the floor.These puppy pads are a bit smaller and square, rather than the rectangular pads we get at the warehouse store. I didn’t pay close attention to the size when I ordered them and when I opened them I was initially concerned that they would be too small for our large dogs and might move around a lot when our dogs “circle”. These pads exceeded my expectations. They also seem much more absorbent as well - the liquid doesn’t spread out as much as it does on our typical pee pads. Even if our dogs use the same pad a few times, these don’t leak, which was also surprising based on the size. They seem to really absorb the odor too. Price-wise, these are cheaper per pad ($0.23/each if you can catch them on sale). I have to admit, I was shockingly impressed by this product and will definitely keep these on hand, especially for travel.

It felt thicker than the basic mats I’ve tried, and it held up when he decided to test its limits. The carbon mineral layer kept odors on lockdown, so my nose didn’t stage a revolt.The embossed edges steer liquids inward, and it actually worked when he splashed close to the corner. It dried fast too, leaving the surface ready for the next round. I slipped a few under his playpen and they stayed put even when he spun around chasing his tail.I swapped them out after a couple of full runs without any seepage under the mat, which saved me time on cleanup duty. The size felt right for small breeds, but bigger dogs might need a larger sheet to cover the whole pad. I did see some crinkles when he stepped off, so I might set one on a rigid tray next time.By nighttime I was chilling on the couch instead of scrubbing floors, and that peace of mind is hard to beat. My pup seems to know where to aim now, which cuts down on accidents in random spots. Next time he gets antsy, I’ll slide out a fresh one without sweating the mess.

Nothing fancy or special about these pads, besides the fact that works as intended. One thing that I do like it is how well pack they come in, inside the box they were protected by a plastic bag.One time I had purchased a box of pads that were originally wet (maybe a rain or got sprinkled at), and when I opened the box I found out that half of them were around 25-35% of the surface area of the pads unusable because of it and I couldn't tell from the outside of the box. If something like that ever happens to this box, the pads will still be protected, so that's a plus.I don't give a 5 stars because there is nothing special besides the original functionality that to me would grant it an extra star (maybe if they have a sticky tape on the corners to allow the pads to stay in place, (hint hint).
