Not the pro series but just as great with a cheaper price point.
Love it! I made the mistake of thinking this was the one with the detachable handle, and obviously it wasn’t, however I am not as disappointed as one might think, this is a cheaper alternative and I’m in absolute awe of the functionality, weight, and design of it. I recommend this for anyone that needs a gimbal, functions exceptionally with my a7c2, a6700, and rx100vii.

Lighting deal for an amazing gimbal!
Gimbals have come a long way ever since I had them & this was my first time coming back to one after years of not having one. This was somewhat easy to setup(didn’t have a manual setup for a camera, only for a phone), but I was able to get it done. Once it was balanced, which was easy because of the way the slides move smoothly and lock. The features are awesome and can’t wait to see it out in the field. At a lightning deal, I think I got a steal!

New AI tracking built-in to the gimbal.
I have been using Feiyu tech gimbals for years. I got this new version mainly for the AI tracking feature. This makes single person video shoots so much easier. Now I can just lock in the subject using the AI tracking function, so I don't have to worry about keeping my subject in the frame the whole time. The AI tracking will make sure the locked subject is being followed no matter where the subject is. So far the AI tracking seems to work ok. Not perfect, but good enough. Sometimes it does seems to loose the subject for a bit, when moving too fast. This is not a big deal, just need to make sure I follow the subject in the slower speed. Other functions on the gimbal are pretty much the same with minor improvements. I do notice the gimbal didn't come with any storage case anymore. It comes with a foam case, which I am not a fan of. This is a good compact size gimbal for mirrorless cameras, with built-in AI function.

Small cameras only
Wish I bought the full size version and not the mini. My camera is too heavy for it.

Absolutely Loving the SCORP MINI 3, A Serious Contender in the Gimbal World
I’ve been using FeiyuTech products for a while now and coming from the SCORP 2, I had high expectations for the SCORP MINI 3. Let me just say, they delivered. This little beast is packed with features and upgrades that make it feel like a top-tier gimbal and honestly, it’s winning a permanent spot in my kit. First off, the build and design are fantastic. The signature scorpion-style grip is not just stylish, it’s actually super comfortable and practical. I do wish this version had the detachable handle like the Pro model, but even so, the ergonomics are spot on. It’s compact, easy to transport, and incredibly well-balanced whether I’m using a mirrorless camera or a smartphone. The AI tracking is one of the main reasons I fell in love with it. It locks onto a subject almost instantly and stays on target with impressive accuracy. I tested it with my iPhone 16 Pro Max which is no featherweight and it handled it with ease. Smooth movements, no hiccups, and the tracking stayed locked in even when I moved quickly or changed direction. I also tried it with my OM System 5 and the balance and performance were just as solid. FeiyuTech nailed the compatibility here. It supports both phones and cameras right out of the box with no extra gear needed and the included accessories make it feel like a complete package. The fact that the AI tracking module is built in is a huge win for me. My friend with a DJI setup had to buy that separately and was definitely a little jealous when he saw what this could do straight out of the box. Battery life is great, the gesture control is reliable and easy to remember, and the app integration, especially with the FeiyuTech app for the gimbal itself, is smooth and intuitive. I still prefer the Blackmagic app for actual video recording on my phone, but for controlling the gimbal, the FeiyuTech app is right on the money. Timelapse functions are another standout. Super fun to use and I’m already planning to mount this on a camera slider for even more creative movement in my shots. It handles multi-axis movement like a champ and makes capturing cinematic footage much more accessible. In short, this gimbal is a gem. It punches above its weight, delivers great performance across multiple platforms, and feels like a tool made for creators who actually use this stuff every day. Five stars, no doubt.

Fantastic tool
This AI tracking gimbal has been an incredible tool for recording. I received it shortly before comic-con, and i've been using it at many different events to help record both for the stabilizing functions and for it's tracking functions. The gimbal itself is kinda heavy, but it's heavy from quality materials that fit together seamlessly. It has multiple attachment tools to support phone recording, and higher quality cameras. It's incredibly straight forward and easy to use. The real win from this device for me is how smooth it is when you're recording in motion. I've recorded a couple of my kid's games while walking or running along the field, and it keeps the phone stable enough to make it look like a cinematic recording, something you'd see in a commercial as it pans out and such. Overall, it functions as expected, and although it's a pretty high price point, it does everything you'd need it to do. The only downside is that the phone holder doesn't hold larger phones, so you won't be able to use it with any of the foldables, it's designed for smaller iphones or something, which I find to be a massive limitation.

Great once you figure out how to put it together…
The Scorp mini 3 combo kit is a great starter kit if you’re going to use it with a cell phone or a lightweight camera. If you plan to use a heavier camera, I’m move up from the mini to the Scorp 3. This thing is a real PITA to put together and set up, I won’t lie. Once you get it set up, it’s great, at least for my BTS video needs. I use my phone for video. The gimbal keeps things nice and steady, and it hold up well in the field. Again, there is a slight learning curve to using the various functions, but you’ll get used to it quickly. It’s really well made, and if you can grab this on sale, it’s well worth it!!

The SCORP Mini-3 has enhanced subject tracking more load capacity.
The SCORP Mini 3 is my third SCORP Mini -- I have upgraded from 1 to 2 to 3 -- and every upgrade has had both evolutionary and added features. The two big news items on the SCORP Mini 3, as an upgrade from the SCORP Mini 2, is first that the payload, the camera carrying capacity, has been increased to 2kg. The other worthwhile upgrade is to the "AI assisted" subject tracking that was introduced on the SCORP Mini 2. The range at which the tracker can follow a target, in other words the person wanting to stay centered in the image as they walk around or move in a shot, has been doubled to almost fifty feet. As before the control of the system when in tracking mode is done with user gestures toward the camera. This seems to work pretty well once you get the hang of the sign language expected by the sensor. The only knock I have on the subject tracking feature is that it seems to be rather facecentric and expects the person being followed to be facing toward the camera. If a person being tracked by the gimbal turns to profile or away from the camera the follow feature gets a little confused or sometimes stops tracking all together. There are other small detail features like better gimbal lock switches, a slightly larger touch interface screen, and longer battery life (rated at up to fourteen hours). I would call this a compelling upgrade. The SCORP Mini 3 comes in a few kit configurations. There is one for smartphone only, that does not include the plates and so forth for cameras. The kit I received had the whole range of attachments for both cameras, smartphones, GoPro, etc, as well has various charge and control cables and a small desktop tripod. The smartphone mount and clamp for the SCORP Mini 3 now includes a small cooling fan to help keep a phone from maxing out and overheating during continuous use or in hot sunlight. The SCORP Mini 3 is a meaningful evolutionary upgrade over the prior SCORP Mini-2.
