You have to sit and do this with the child. It’s not something you can give them to do it alone .

I purchased this book to use during my social work sessions with students, and it has been an excellent addition to my lessons on growth mindset. The message is clear, age-appropriate, and presented in a way that truly resonates with students. It does a wonderful job of helping them understand that challenges, mistakes, and effort are all part of learning and growing. What I appreciate most is how engaging and relatable the book is. The language and examples make it easy for students to connect the concepts to their own experiences at school and in social situations. It naturally opens the door for meaningful discussions about perseverance, self-confidence, and positive self-talk, which are key skills we work on in social work sessions. The illustrations and storytelling help keep students focused and interested, and I’ve found that it works well for both individual and small group sessions. Students are able to reflect, share, and apply the ideas to real-life situations, which makes the learning feel practical rather than abstract.
