Great product! Second time ordering🤙
Second time ordering! The guards clip on easy and help ease some of the pain caused by the braces. The guards were a tad long so I trimmed them and had no problem when I reapplied them!

The clips pull pretty hard against your arch wire so feels like it ...
First, not long enough to reach my last 2 brackets on either side and i have a small mouth with crowding. The clips pull pretty hard against your arch wire so feels like it could adjust your movement. They advise clipping spots that don't line up, but you need all of the clips to even try to make them stay in place. Won't work if you have bands or anything but regular small brackets. On those, thru stayed. Could be cut off you only need a couple of small brackets covered, but you need wax on the end of them.

Five Stars
The Orthodontic Braces lip guard are such a life saver. My daughter got braces on this past October. The orthodontic office supplied her with packages of wax strips to help with the irritation from the new appliances in her mouth. While she done very well with the whole process and never complained too much, she still had a sore mouth. When she tried to use the wax that the dentist office supplied her with, it wouldn’t stay in place. It kept falling off. Even when she would get it to stick it wouldn’t last very long. Once I ordered these Orthodontic braces lip guard, she was able to put the Orthodontic braces lip guard on her braces and the Orthodontic braces lip guard would stay. She could even sleep in the Orthodontic braces lip guard and not have them come off. These Orthodontic braces lip guard are much better than the regular wax strips that the office gives you. The Orthodontic braces lip guard comes with a pretty large amount so they last a pretty good while. My daughter plays the saxophone in her high school band and she uses the Orthodontic braces lip guard to help where the pressure is on her mouth when she plays her saxophone from her braces. The Orthodontic braces lip guard we shipped fast also. I ordered them and 3 days later received them. I could not ask for a better product. Anything to keep my daughter as pain free as possible!

Not easy to use
I trimmed it as needed for me, but it just didn't work well. The spaces didn't quite match my teeth, and I had trouble getting them on. Looked like a good idea, but it didn't work for me.

Works great, clips onto your braces
Works great, clips onto your braces, and protects your lips...-as long as your teeth are already relatively level with each other-as long as nothing is in the way (like rubber bands)When I only had bottom braces this protector was great preventing impressions of my braces in my lips. However now that I have top braces and rubber bands the lip protectors don't really fit. I found that thankfully my top teeth got used to the braces and I don't need the lip protector as much there. The top teeth are less level and combined with the fact that the rubber bands I wear get in the way I don't use the top lip protector. For my bottom teeth, they are level and my lip still gets an impression of my braces if I don't wear the protector. I've figure out that I can just cut the lip protector a bit smaller and protect just the front of my lip. It seems to work okay.

Disappointed with this purchase
I was very disappointed with this product, you just can seem to get them to stay in. You can't talk with them really. Just very crappy.

Simple and effective
I am currently undergoing intensive chemotherapy, which has led to mouth-sores. As I have braces, it feels like I have a hundred pins in my mouth. I was using wax to cover my braces but, as I had to use it all day, it led to problems eating and brushing my teeth (and replacing it was a nightmare as it would get stuck behind my braces). I tried this product as a last resort and was surprised at how effective it was.One suggestion that I would make is that when putting them on, don't force them. The gentler that you put them on, the more stable they are (which is counter-intuitive). Just gently put each "hook" over each part of your braces and slowly do it one by one. If you try to "jam" them on you will simply loosen the previous "hook" you put on.

Didn't work for me-
Here is the rundown:The device is thick plastic (bendable), it makes your lip stick out- it's not thin enough. It is hard to make it stay on... the 'hooks' are supposed to go around the wire, but it kept popping off.It might work for an instrument player- if you are really determined, you can get the hooks on the wires and make it stay long enough to play the saxophone, or other instrument. But, if you are looking for something to 'hide' your braces, this isn't it.And, to use it just to protect your lip, well that might work for a short period of time, but your lip will protrude even more.Waste of money. I am going to try silicone next.
