Will this work on a portable rolling shelves

Hex nipple can be applied in: hydrant pipe, air compressor, laundry faucet, extended shower-head and hose, natural gas line and irrigation applications, etc. What kind of the portable rolling shelves and your purpose?

It's solid stainless steel. I am not a Metallurgist to be able to tell you anything about it's composition. I think 304 is used in food industry. I used mine in hydraulic equipment, I am building.
