Crystal clear
I would like to caveat by saying that I haven’t used a wireless microphone before. However for me this has been a wonderful bit of kit. It was easy to set up and use. I’ve been using it for interviews and I’m highly impressed by the sound quality, it’s crystal clear and high bitrate. I use this with my phone and had no issue getting it set up. Battery life is great and has more than enough charge to cover most activities you would use it for. Out the box this feels like a well designed expensive item. All in all, a high quality clear recording microphone.

Crystal clear sound
I recently purchased the BOYA BOYAMIC 2 Wireless Lavalier Microphone, and I’m really impressed with its performance. The sound quality is crystal clear, and the AI noise reduction works perfectly even in noisy environments. I love that it supports both my iPhone 15 and my camera, so I can use it for different types of recordings. The range is incredible — I tested it at a long distance and the audio stayed stable. The battery life is also amazing; I can record for hours without worrying about charging. The build quality feels solid, and it’s very lightweight and easy to clip on. Overall, this mic is perfect for vlogging, interviews, and any on-the-go recording. Price is quite high, but you pay for the quality. Highly recommended!

Crisp audio, no wires, no faff – and even the dog can’t ruin it!
Needed something simple but reliable for recording bits at home – video calls, quick voiceovers, and the occasional social media ramble (usually baby-related chaos or the dog's latest mischief). This little mic set has properly impressed me. Setup was dead easy – plugs into the phone or camera, and just works. No menus, no syncing nightmares. The audio quality is cracking, especially for something this compact. Voices come through clear, background noise is nicely filtered out, and I can even record with the washing machine rumbling in the next room without sounding like I’m broadcasting from inside it. The range is mad – tested it in the garden, and it stayed connected from one end to the other without dropouts. I’ll probably never use the full 300 metres unless I’m narrating a nature documentary on the school run, but good to know it’s there. Battery life is ridiculous – more than enough for a full day’s use, even if you forget to charge overnight (guilty). Pros: Plug-and-play – super easy to use Audio’s clean, even in slightly noisy environments Long range and excellent battery life Supports external lav mic and app tweaks if you want to get fancy Cons: Pricey if you're just after casual use Wind noise can creep in outdoors without a cover For anyone doing content creation, work calls, or recording chaos at home with some clarity, this thing punches well above its weight. Wouldn’t be without it now.

Fantastic little set up
£200 at time of review BOYAMIC 2-01 Wow what a brilliant little set up this is… I’ve worked in the AV industry for over 30 years and produced countless vox pops & interviews, And while the likes of Sennheiser & Rode are the gold standard when it comes to mics, there are so many much cheaper mic brands in the market now, and you’d be hard pressed to hear any difference between them as the quality in the past decade has matched the market leaders. One such brand is Boya, I’ve used some of their mics on a run & gun set ups and in situations where having expensive pro looking mics and cameras weren’t advisable or necessary. So now you know where I’m coming from, I’ve been trying these out the past 10 days and I’m impressed. First of all they’re incredibly easy to set up and use, you can plug the receiver straight into your mobile, tablet, computer via the magnetically attached USB-C connector, or to a camera using a 3.5mm jack. Apparently the receiver can connect to 4 transmitters (this comes with 2 and that’s all I’ve tested it with). The receiver has a touch screen, and it’s child’s play to use, and the display is nice and bright so it’s easy to see your recording levels & peaking (not sure how that would work with 4 transmitters?) For me the best feature is on mic recording, and at 32bit too! I cannot stress enough how import that is, losing a piece of vital audio because you had a drop out in signal or paused recording on your camera (or forgot to hit record in time… yep been there!!!)… My preferred set up is on mic recording, with the receiver connected to a dedicated field recorder (that also has it’s own external mic recording to a separate track), then a separate on camera mic that catches everything. Then in post I simply use the on camera audio as a sync for my higher quality mics, that in premiere of FCP-X takes secs to sync automatically Audio quality for voice is superb, the small cable lav mics are pretty good too (not the best, but ok at a pinch). Floor noise is minimal. The AI noise reduction…. Hmmmmm… at a push and if you don’t have any software in post to deal with it then it’s ok, but there’s a noticeable clipping and audio artefacts in the recordings, but if you lay a music bed etc underneath, then you’ll hardly notice it, but you’ll still achieve better results in post if you have the time and software Hope my review was helpful

Bad ..... but not the products fault
Not that happy as the Boyamic2 that I had sent me had been clearly used because no seals on box and it was not sealed with heat shink film as these are normally done. Box on both outside and inside we're ripped and only received the receiver along with cables inside of the box with the microphone missing ????? If you receive the packaging without seals or the heatshink wrap in place I'd advise that you return it instantly for refund as it'll be a 'used' return item sent back out, so not new at all.
