Love at first run!
UPDATE: My review below was after only one day of using the vacuum (I was that impressed!) and mentions some pet hair left behind on stubborn rugs. I can happily say that after almost a full week of using it, it does not leave any hair left behind on either of those rugs. If you also have dogs, it's worth running it twice a day! I have multiple heavy shedding dogs, so my home gets completely covered in hair every day. I wish I took before pics because my home was truly disgusting before running this yesterday, but now it's at least 95% better. With it's 50% charge out of the box, it mapped my entire layout and completed its first deep clean of the house. Its powerful suction got almost every piece of fur off of my washable rug (no easy task, even for a manual vacuum) and left my hard floors sparkling clean. It honestly looks better than if I manually cleaned, and I wouldn't have believed it if I didn't witness it myself. It left my gross, matted hallway runner much cleaner than when it started, but didn't quite get all of the hair out. I am still incredibly impressed that it got even half of the hair out of it since the only vacuum I've had that can truly handle cleaning this rug is a monster-sized Sebo that costs much more than this robot. I trust that if I deep-clean that rug manually, it will be able to handle maintenance cleans for a long time. Easy setup, no issues with connecting to my wifi, and surprisingly quiet. I didn't have any issues with it running into things or getting stuck, and it ran into things much less often, and more gently, than my previous shark robot vacuum. It comes with a 5 year warranty, and as long as it continues to run as effectively as it did today, I think it's an incredible value considering the time savings and its effectiveness. Trust that I'll update if things go wrong, but otherwise, you can safely assume that I'm still living happily ever after with this robot.

Life is so easy
I recently upgraded to the DREAME X50 Ultra Complete Robot Vacuum and Mop, and it has transformed my cleaning routine. From performance to convenience, this robot truly delivers on all fronts. First, the suction power is exceptional — at 20,000 Pa, it effortlessly picks up dust, debris, pet hair, and larger particles across carpets, hardwood, and tile. I’m impressed at how thorough it is even in high-traffic areas. The corner-to-edge cleaning capability ensures no spots are missed, and its detangling brush keeps hair and fibers from clogging the system, which has been a game-changer with pets in the house. Navigation and obstacle avoidance are outstanding. The robot moves confidently around furniture and tight spaces, with 360° navigation mapping that keeps it from getting stuck or going over the same spot repeatedly. It’s smart about route planning, which makes cleaning faster and more efficient. One of the biggest perks is the auto-empty and mop self-cleaning base station — this feature takes nearly all of the manual work out of maintenance. After the robot finishes, it automatically empties its dustbin and cleans the mop pads, so I don’t have to touch anything for days. The self-cleaning function also helps keep odors and bacteria at bay. The transition between vacuuming and mopping is seamless, and the mop does a great job of lifting dried spills and sticky residue without leaving streaks. The white finish looks sleek and modern, and the overall build feels solid and high-quality. Overall, the DREAME X50 Ultra is an outstanding robotic cleaning solution for anyone who values powerful performance, advanced automation, and reliable results. It’s worth every penny for the time it saves and the consistently clean floors it provides.

satisfied exp
After cycling through a handful of robot vacuums, this is the first one that feels like it’s playing in the “no compromises” category. The pickup on carpet is the biggest leap for me—fine grit, hair, and that dusty layer that tends to cling in high-traffic areas comes up far more consistently than with my last bot. And the mopping isn’t the usual token pass with a damp pad. It maintains steady contact and works the floor with enough pressure that the result looks genuinely cleaned, not just lightly wiped. It also moves around the house with a lot more finesse than I expected: it navigates furniture cleanly, doesn’t ping-pong off chair legs, and it’s surprisingly good at steering clear of cords and small clutter. Along walls, it tracks close enough that I’m not seeing that leftover line of debris that many robots leave behind. The dock is where the convenience really becomes obvious. Emptying happens quickly and without the loud, jarring blast I’ve dealt with on other systems, and the bag design keeps the mess contained when it’s time to replace it. The mop-washing setup is equally practical—being able to run it frequently without turning “robot cleaning” into a sink-cleaning chore is a huge win. Mapping and coverage have been dependable: it cleans in a logical pattern, finishes rooms efficiently, and I haven’t noticed random missed zones. Setup in the app was painless, and the controls are flexible enough for real life—scheduled runs, room-by-room cleaning, and quick targeted sessions are all easy to manage. The only real hesitation is the cost: you’re paying for a high-end experience, and to keep it that way you’ll still need to do routine maintenance like cleaning filters and checking brushes. Overall, though, if you want strong vacuuming plus truly useful mopping with minimal day-to-day effort, it earns its place.

Smart, powerful, convenient, and actually makes my life easier
From the moment I took it out of the box, I could tell this is a premium robot vacuum. The build quality feels solid and premium. The housing is sturdy, the brushes are well-made, and everything snaps together with confidence. Setup was incredibly easy too: just charge it up, connect to the app, and it walked me through customizing my floor plan in minutes. The smart mapping and navigation is hands-down one of my favorite features. The robot systematically scans each room, creates an accurate layout, and remembers it for future cleaning sessions. I can tell it exactly where to go — or where not to go — and it does it reliably every time. No more random back-and-forth zig-zags all over the place like older models I’ve had in the past. It’s efficient and impressively thoughtful about how it traverses the layout. What really sets this model apart is the dual functionality — vacuuming and mopping in one pass. I used to vacuum separately, then haul out my mop and bucket afterward, which always felt like such a chore. Now, I can set it to do both at once or schedule different modes on different days, all through the app. The vacuum pulls up pet hair, crumbs, and debris with powerful suction, and the mop module leaves my hard floors streak-free and lightly polished. Even dried spots and sticky spills come up nicely without having to pre-treat them. Battery life is another area where this robot shines. It easily lasts long enough to clean my entire first floor on a single charge, and if it ever gets low mid-cycle it automatically returns to its dock, charges back up, and resumes where it left off — no babysitting required. As for performance on different surfaces — rugs, tile, hardwood — this robot handles them all confidently. It transitions smoothly between floor types, and I’ve seen no loss of suction or cleaning quality. The mop doesn’t over-wet hardwood either, which was a concern for me, but it’s perfectly calibrated.

The suction power is very strong, and it handles both vacuuming and mopping exceptionally well.
I’m extremely impressed with the Dreame X50 Ultra. The suction power is very strong, and it handles both vacuuming and mopping exceptionally well. The auto-empty and self-cleaning mop feature save so much time and effort. Navigation is smart and precise — it avoids obstacles easily and cleans right up to the corners. The detangling brush is a big plus, especially for homes with hair. The app setup was smooth, and everything feels premium and well-designed.

Good and high quality
Super impressed with this robot vacuum and mop. It cleans really well, has powerful suction, and moves around the house intelligently without constantly getting stuck. The auto-empty and mop self-cleaning features save a lot of hassle, and it handles corners and edges better than most robot cleaners I’ve tried. Definitely worth it for the convenience alone.

Very unimpressive for a flagship model
Unimpressed for their flagship model, I should have stuck with the Ecovacs Deebot x11... It navigates okay on known routes without new obstructions, but not great. No matter what I do, it insists on running over the feet of my desk and getting hung up. It frequently picks the most impressively stupid route to get to the room it needs to clean. When it empties into the station, every 3rd or 4th day, something gets clogged up and the robot itself just stuffs itself full of hair until we realize it. The battery life is not great. I've never seen a robot lose charge so quickly. Even sitting idly, it will drain 1% per minute. Regret this purchase big time... It works okay enough that we will just deal with it now that we are beyond the return period but this is about what I would expect from a 3-500 dollar unit.

A nice change.....
...in the way we clean house. As I told my wife about the dishwasher the first time she used it: it's not a miracle worker. And so it goes with Dreame, who we've nicknamed Suzy Q. Dust bunnies are largely a thing of the past. Start with as pristine a surface as you can, and the robot will maintain it, mostly. You are going to have to spot hit unreachable areas, and get heavier items that don't get vacuumed like larger cat litter particles. In the kitchen, anything that gets glopped on the floor and dries is not going to come up. So you have to do your part of the job, but the robot will do the lion's share. There is maintenance that needs to be done often, if not every day, depending on how busy your Suzy Q is required to be. That would be keeping the water tank filled, and emptying the grey water. Easily done in the 3 minutes it takes my moka pot to make coffee. A little more needs doing at intervals of two weeks or more. If you're like me, you will be clearing the floors of items prior to the scheduled arrival of your robot, including bathroom rugs, which it has trouble with, and items in general to give the clearest shot at the task. You schedule with the app after "fast mapping" of your floors. After 5 months, I still have more to learn about how to get the most out of this system. It has a pretty powerful vacuum that can be tweaked in the app above the standard setting, which just might get all that cat litter. I can say that it pleases me to no end that the floors stay clean, even the high traffic areas that get hit just twice a week. I am withholding one star for value for the money, which I will amend commensurate with longevity. So far, so good, and I think I have vouched for its capabilities. There are wear and tear items to replace; you get a supply of those with your purchase. Concerning the complaints over the cost of the proprietary detergent, I can tell you it sips it frugally, I still haven't had to add any since the initial fill. Good with pets, our cat is not scared of it, but hasn't been seen riding on it yet! I made all the thresholds in the doorways out of white oak 7 years ago, creating a low arc so we wouldn't have trouble with tripping, never realizing a robot vacuum was in our future. It clambers over them without much problem. All in all, we are satisfied with what it does for us, and hope it lasts for years to come.

Robbie is my new best friend!
For years i kept telling myself i did not need a robot and i would not get one. Now, i say to myself, why didnt i get one sooner, especially one that mops! Vacuuming is a chore, a necessary one that i had no issue doing. But mopping?? Who on earth likes to mop? Out of all the house works, flooring mopping and shower tile scrubbing are the two most dreaded houseworks. Needless to say, the mopping function of this Dreame robot is what excites me the most! Let’s talk from the beginning… Set up was a lot less intimidating than i thought, just download the app and make sure you are connecting to the 2.4Ghz WiFi, and allocate at least an hour or two, because once you start the process, you are fascinated to play with the app and see what the robot can do. I have been using the robot for two weeks now, and I can say it gets better everyday. I watched Robbie (yes i gave the robot a name lol) and I followed it around during the first few rounds. Initial mapping was rudimentary, it appeared random, roaming the house kind of all over the place. There were instances of mindless spinning at the same spot where Robbie was not vacuuming nor mopping, it was just endlessly spinning as if it was lost and confused. Such confused moments often lasted up to 3 minutes and i was convinced Robbie was a lemon. However, Robbie never gave up… the more Robbie worked, the better it became, and I could see mapping was getting more fine tuned and patterns were emerging. Robbie is surprisingly quiet. The only time i would consider it loud is when Robbie returns to its station to empty the trash, or rinse the mop pads. During vacuuming sessions i am able to hear the TV while it is roaming around my vicinity. It is even more quiet during mopping that there were times i totally forgot Robbie was on duty and I went to look for it. Mopping performance is quite impressive, and it surprisingly uses very little water. Once you set up the clean water tank, Robbie handles its own water refills, washes the mop pads, and empties dirty water to another tank. I have a furbaby who uses a pee tray at home, the occasional pee droplets on the floor around the pee tray gets cleaned up very well. BUT many times the robot fails to recognize the pee tray as an obstacle and activates its legs and climbs on top of it to mop/vacuum. Luckily no poop was on the tray, which makes me curious, can Robbie really recognize poop? What if it doesn’t? I am not going to test that by purposely leaving out a poop, I certainly don’t want anything funky to be dragged around the entire house!! So for peace of mind, i remove the pee tray when Robbie is in the area. My dog also likes to constantly stand in front of the vacuum and stares at it with curiosity. Robbie never once bumped into my baby. It also never hit into furniture legs, in fact it stays too far away that it leaves a ring of dust around table/chair legs. Obstacle avoidance is very good. However, just like everything else, life is not all rosy with Robbie. While it vacuums generally well, I feel that it is not very good at picking up dusts at corners, although it has a side brush extension that is supposed to do this very function. I have many houseplants throughout the house and often there are dried up leaves sitting in corners, Robbie couldn’t get them after multiple rounds so I ended up picking up the leaves by hand. And since I have a dog, I had set up a baby gate to block the entrance to the mud room. Robbie has difficulty seeing the baby gate probably due to the pickets, at times when it sees the pickets, it stops and back up; then it sees open space (between pickets) so it wants to move forward and bangs into the gate. So i set up no go zone. I also noticed Robbie is unable to clean underneath the kitchen cabinet toe kick, which is approx H3.5”. Robbie stops once it reaches the edge of the cabinet, it does not extend its little arm, it just turns around and move on. The maintenance of the mop tray is annoying, I literally need to go on my hands and knees, lean into the bottom of the station and hand wipe that area. I wish the entire tray can be removed so that the whole thing can be rinsed at the sink. I have seen videos of other robots with such feature, hopefully future generations of Dreame will have that. I have not yet tried the multi floor management function yet, because I have a partial renovation going on so there are boxes in some areas, too many obstacles for Robbie. I am curious to see how that works because obviously i will not be moving the station/dock to another floor. I guess Robbie will periodically summon me to bring him back to the station to empty the trash and wash the mop pads. That will be interesting to see. In terms of battery, it lasts about 3 hours before it roams back to the station for recharge. I always have Robbie vacuum first and mop after (dinning room, kitchen, family room, front hallway) and it always require a recharge (battery top up) in order to complete the tasks. Just like all other battery powered products, i suppose battery run time will decrease overtime, hopefully the battery is replaceable when time comes. The app is full of features, it is rather intuitive, kind of like iPhone, just play around and you kind of get the idea, but at the same time i wished there is a manual of some sort to help understand the functions and differences in commands (ie: intensive cleaning vs deep cleaning). Many times i had to Google to see explanations from other user forums. Among the many features, you can schedule auto clean up. Convenient as it may be, I won’t be using that because it can trigger the alarm if no one is home (like vacations). I don’t want cops breaking down my front door for no reason. Also, I am afraid that the occasional power outage may somehow cause a reset and Robbie may go wild and rogue (yeah I watch too many movies). For those who wants to use the schedule function, my advise is to unplug this thing when you go away for holiday. I have not had the need to remove anything for maintenance (the double brush or the little arm) so I cannot comment on how easy/difficult it will be. I have only removed the trash bag from the station to see how it works and that part is very simple. So far my experience has been very positive. Once you get through the initial set up, the rest is pretty much hands free, and all you need is just basic maintenance, and a basic common sense of not leaving certain things on the floor (phone cables, socks) to avoid potential entanglement. Although there are areas that require manual cleaning due to the limitations of the robot, the vacuuming and mopping results are consistently good. I am very impressed by the robot’s performance. Should you decide on this little guy, I am sure you will be as happy as I am.

Great performance and low maintenance
After using the DREAME X50 Ultra Complete Robot Vacuum and Mop daily for a few weeks, I can honestly say it’s one of the most convenient cleaning devices I’ve owned. It actually does what it claims and has noticeably reduced the time I spend cleaning. Setup was quick through the Dreame app, and the robot mapped my home on its first run without any issues. One thing to note is that you need 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi for setup. If your router combines 2.4 and 5 GHz bands, you may need to separate them temporarily. Once connected, the app is stable and gives you a lot of control over how and when it cleans. The unit feels premium and well built. The dock is larger than basic robot vacuums, but that’s expected since it auto-empties dust and self-cleans the mop. The robot can lower itself to about 3.5 inches, so it fits under couches and beds that other robots usually miss. The mapping and navigation are excellent. It creates a detailed map quickly, lets you label rooms, set no-go zones, and customize cleaning by area. It moves efficiently and rarely repeats spaces. The AI camera helps it recognize obstacles like shoes and cables. Occasionally the camera loses connection, but even then it continues cleaning properly using its other sensors. One feature I really appreciate is how well it handles thresholds and transitions. It can climb over door tracks and small barriers without getting stuck, which makes a big difference in homes with multiple floor transitions or rugs. The suction power is genuinely strong. It easily picks up dust, crumbs, pet hair, litter, and dirt tracked in from outside. You can see the difference after each run. Despite the power, it’s quieter than I expected. If you deal with long hair or pets, the DuoBrush system is a big plus. Hair doesn’t wrap tightly around the brush like on traditional rollers, which makes maintenance much easier. Edge cleaning is better than most robot vacuums I’ve tried. The side brush extends outward to reach baseboards, and the mop reaches closer to corners, so you don’t get those dusty lines along edges. The mopping system is where this unit really stands out. The mops automatically lift when carpets are detected, so rugs stay dry. The dock washes and dries the mop pads, refills water, and collects dirty water automatically. The clean and dirty tanks are easy to remove and refill. For daily maintenance cleaning, it does a great job removing footprints, light dirt, and dust film from hard floors. The app offers plenty of customization, including room-specific cleaning, suction levels, water flow, schedules, and carpet settings. You can monitor cleaning in real time and create routines that fit your home. The auto-empty dock significantly reduces maintenance. It empties debris into bags, cleans the mops, refills water, and helps prevent odors. It really makes the whole system feel hands-off. Battery life has been excellent so far. It can clean large areas on one charge and will return to recharge and resume if needed. There are a few minor drawbacks. It requires 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, the camera can occasionally lose connection, and the dock takes up more space than basic models. The price is also on the higher side. That said, if it proves to be durable and long-lasting, I think it will absolutely be worth the investment. Overall, I’m very happy with it. It’s powerful, smart, and extremely convenient, and it has made keeping the floors clean much easier. If you want a premium robot vacuum that truly automates cleaning, this is a strong option.

Great product, very happy
I replaced my roomba s9+ with the Dreamex50 and couldn’t be happier. It does an incredible job both vacuuming and mopping. Watching it map out the house was incredible and it does a great job of not touching furniture and walls. My only suggestion would be to spend the time to properly go through all the settings and make adjustments as you use it. Once you have it set up the way you want it’s pretty much set and forget. Just need to refill the water every few days and dump the dirty water daily.

Dreame x50 ultra- you cant go wrong with
Dreame’s customer support was exceptional, professional, responsive, and seamless from start to finish. My interaction wasn’t due to any fault with the product, but rather general support, and it was handled flawlessly. Before purchasing the Dreame X50 Ultra, I did extensive research, and I’m extremely glad I chose it. It met every item on my checklist and continues to impress. The navigation is best-in-class, the cleaning performance is outstanding, and the robot feels genuinely intelligent in how it operates. For anyone researching robot vacuums, I’d suggest looking beyond popular YouTube reviews. Many so-called “unbiased” videos are paid promotions, even when stated otherwise. A better approach is to shortlist a few top brands, compare features carefully, then rely on real customer reviews. That process led me to the X50 Ultra—and it’s a decision I’m very happy with.
