D'Addario Prelude Cello Single G String, 4/4 Scale, Medium Tension

Noticed a difference in quality in a good way with this product, after having to replace an old string. Granted I'm just starting to get back into playing after 10+ years but I could still tell the better sound.

The "A" string broke on the rental student cello. Originally bought a set of 'cheap' strings (all 4 strings included in the set). While my son could play the "A" string, it tends to squeak. After a few tries, we gave up and returned that set, bought this single string (close to the price of the 4 strings)...and yes, there are even more expensive ones. But for student use, this seemed sufficient. Wow, no more squeaks, easy to play, and sounds better than the other 3 strings that were on this rental cello. So, yes, as other reviewers have noted, even if you were to buy a cheap cello, get a set of these strings and they will sound so much better.

Well, cello strings are not cheap. But I tried saving money and bought some cheap ones online and two of them broke in less than a month. I have tried these Preludes now on a 4/4 and a 3/4 cello and two electric cellos. For the money they are hard to beat. There may be better strings out there that cost more, but I am thinking now that buying anything less than these is false value. I am a beginner cellist but am currently really liking these for the price. I currently have some helicore strings on the 4/4 and those do sound slightly better. If you are on a budget and just beginning cello I don't see how you could go wrong with these.

The strings were definitely a step up from the cheap strings that came with my cello. I was a bit disappointed that the A string snapped after just a couple of tunings.

As advertised. Great product

The package says Cello 4/4 but the length is for a Viola or Violin definitely not a Cello. It doesn’t even reach to the first peg. I double checked the package to make sure the wrong one wasn’t sent and it definitely said Cello 4/4, the wire needs to be 43” and it’s not. It was sealed with a sticker so I don’t know why it would not be correct. I’m disappointed because I have to spend more time waiting for a different wire and spend time to go to the store to send this one back.

I love prelude strings for all the orchestra instruments. They sound really warm and It’s easy to fit and it functions well. You should get it because it sounds great.

Well i thought this was a set of strings kind of deceptive listing its not even the string i needed so im not super pleased not sure why these were listed individually i never seen guitar or violin strings sold separately so IM giving a maximum of 3 stars im leaning more towards 2 stars but 3 it will be

Buena cuerda

チェロを始めたばかりで、サブ楽器のサイレントチェロに使ってます。 A線を切ってしまったり、左手の抑えに不慣れだったりするのですが、 弦が柔らかく、比較的安価で使い勝手が良かったです。

La compré para el violoncello de mi hijo, y se ve muy sólida y resistente. Suena muy bien, diferente de la que había antes, se nota que es de muy buena calidad. Y su profesor del conservatorio de música le ha dicho que es la perfecta. Así que recomiendo esa marca!!
