Good spinner - hope it lasts as long as our first version
This Cuisinart spinner replaces our first Cuisinart spinner that broke after ten years of constant use. We have used this one for a year and it works well. The basket will holds enough lettuce for a family salad. It develops a good rotational speed with little effort to provide good water extraction results. The brake button is a nice new feature which stops the basket quicker. And, the bottom cushion ring keeps the spinner from walking on the counter during use.

Perfect size, works great
I had never used a salad spinner before. This little gadget is great! I have the small one, which is perfect making a salad for one or two people. I found that if I set it on the counter and spin it, it kind of jumps around, so I do hold it in one arm and spin with the other hand. That works just fine.

Soak, wash and dry your salad all in one device!
I got this primarily to stop having the watered down dressing and puddles of water on the bottom of my salad plate when I finish my salad. After using it for about a month, I can honestly say that I love this salad spinner! The salad spinner is super easy to use. This is the quick way if you are in a hurry: (1) wash your salad in the basket, (2) place it in the clear bowl, (3) lock the top, (4) spin to remove the water. That's it.You can use the salad spinner to also wash your salad if you want as well. Just follow steps 1 - 3 above, but don't wash the salad. Pour water into the hole in the lid until it is about 2/3 full. Spin the salad to wash it and when you are done, empty the water through the hole again. You can then spin your salad to take off the excess water. If you have the time, you can add a few ice cubes to the bowl before washing it and let it sit for little bit. it will crisp your lettuce and cooler it off.I can make two good size salads with the spinner filled loosely. Some reviewers have said it is small. I guess if you are trying to cut a whole head of lettuce to eat over the week, sure, you're going to have to run multiple batches, but that seems like a relatively limited use case. Also, the time consuming part is chopping the salad, not the wash and drying, which takes very little time, so doing batches really should take long. Not to mention, the spinner would have to be HUGE to hold that much cut lettuce in one go. Maybe they need a barrel or something.I'm very happy with the spinner and have had no problems with it so far. I hope you will enjoy it as much as I do!

Can’t go wrong
Very durable. The spinning works very well. Not loud and is manual. I like the storage because it’s not too big. The design makes it compact but yet holds a lot.

Good Salad Spinners are Rare These Days and Only the Brave Can Handle This
Who would have thought a decent salad spinner of all items would be nearly impossible to find these days? This is the 4th salad spinner I have purchased in as many months. I have returned 3 of them. This is the first from Cuisinart. This one has locks. Locks are absolutely necessary for lifting the spinner during transport with only one hand.Leaving a hand free to fend off would-be salad-thieves.Without locks your salad ends up all over the kitchen floor or the inside of the refrigerator. Any spinner without locks is subpar and the person who designed it should be boiled in oil. This is the BEST spinner that exists today and it still kind of sucks. They added unnecessary parts that can get lost in the dishwasher or sink. It used to be just the dreaded plastic nut that binds the spinny blade to the spinny handle that would easily get lost. To increase repurchases they have cleverly added a gear-like mechanism that without, the entire assembly cannot function. Smart. Devious but smart. Finally if you order this item be sure to examine closely the position of the blade for like mine, it may be connected in the wrong way. Just to add that little bit of extra adventure - There are no instructions. That would be too easy. You may have to remove the plastic nut, turn the spinny blade over, then reconnect the nut and the new gear-like part so that the gears can turn during spinning. If you have nothing else to do today, crave a challenge, are a little bit crazy and consider yourself brave...This is the spinner for you.Best of luck and god-speed!
