Great for complex flavors with diverse ingredients
I anticipated a pretentious book with interesting and diverse flavors; I was not disappointed. Some recipes require simple ingredients and others broaden your ideas of what a drink could consist of.If you’re looking for a quick generic non alcoholic (NA) drink, this book is likely not your best choice. If you’re looking for novel and complex flavors in a NA drink, you’ve found your source.I gave it 5 starts because it was what I was looking for. Extravagant recipes for diverse flavor profile drinks with ingredients you’d get at Whole Foods or Amazon.

Great book - obscure ingredients
I was medically advised not to drink alcohol several months ago, and that's no fun when you want to be social with friends. The Seedlip products are amazing! I have all the options available to the US right now and am so happy I now have this option. I bought this book because I wanted to get a little fancier than seedlip and soda. There are many recipes in here and all look amazing, but some of the ingredients they specify are a bit bizarre. They do have recipes in there to create some of these ingredients - but its just a little more labor intensive than I anticipated. One day I'll set the time to try some, but for now, I'll stick to the simpler recipes and branch out further later.

SUCKER!
Too bad there isn't a "LOOK INSIDE" feature for this book. I thought I was buying a non-alcohol drink mixer recipe book. Instead, I got a REALLY NICE (binding, paper thickness, color photos) coffee table book. Unless you live in England or have enough green backs to import "Seedlip spirits" and have on hand in your pantry, you can forget about making ANY of the drinks in this "recipe book" because they ALL depend on the THREE (Count Them! THREE!) versions of spirits made by a company I've never heard of... One the author was BORN into. The three versions - SPICE 94, GARDEN 108, and GROVE 42 - can only be imported from ENGLAND and have only been around since it was launched in 2015. Maybe if you hold onto this book long enough, it will not only become a collector's item (First edition in 2018), but a book you can use if the claims they make about selling out of "spirits" in 30 minutes on the third round of distillation. I'll never know. I can't buy them in my rural town in the USA. I was a sucker for a "cookbook" for non-alcoholic drinks. I was willing to try it. Gonna have to wait another 20 years before there's enough supply to trickle down to this peasant who was a sucker for its good looks! I can't buy it in my local grocery store or liquor store. The bright side? I can get SIX "sampler" bottles (one of each Seedlip variety and 3 of another unknown brand of non-alcoholic "spirits" at 700mL each, for $175 USD. The Bad News? That's roughly $11.60 PER CUP of drink mix. And it's not even going to get you drunk so you can forget how much you spent to import it via Amazon. It also doesn't count the money you have to spend on all the other ingredients to CREATE the fancy drinks inspired by reading this book. Bottomline? Pretty but PRICEY. And finally, don't expect it to get to you very quickly. It took A MONTH to arrive. That was my first clue I should have read the FINE PRINT.
