This review is for the Poly Voyager Legend 50 UC Bluetooth Headset with Charging Case. I purchased this to replace my original Plantronics (Poly) Voyager Legend with Charging Case that I have been using for years. I have to start off by saying I absolutely love my Plantronics Voyager Legend. It has been the most comfortable Bluetooth headset that I have ever used. I can have it on for 10 hours and forget it is even there. The audio for both the mic & speaker were outstanding. The only annoying issue I would run into, and this was more prevalent on newer phones, is sometimes the native phone app (Samsung) or other communication apps would randomly switch from the headset to the phone for audio. My motivation for trying the Poly Voyager Legend 50 UC Bluetooth Headset with Charging Case was getting something that was USB-C, newer version of Bluetooth, and it was on sale for an amazing price. I have put over 100 hours of usage onto this new headset. I had no complaints on the audio of my old headset, but the audio is immediately superior on this. It's a fuller sound, not flat sounding at all. Great response in the mid-range, where most dialogue occurs. Everything just sounds better. I never had any complaints about the mic on my old headset, but people did say I sounded even better on this new headset. The Bluetooth connectivity is better. I never have an issue of a disconnect or the phone/app trying to switch my audio from the headset to the phone. The button layout is excellent. I really like that the charging case also has the built-in headset charging stand. It is super convenient to be able to set the headset in the stand during the workday so that you quickly grab it and put it on. The headset also has a great proximity feature so that it knows when you have it on or off. The charging case can also be charged wirelessly, which is convenient. I also like using the desktop and Android Poly app to run updates to the headset & case, and it has a number of setting options. You can also use the app to locate your headset. Overall, this is the best Bluetooth headset I have ever come across. I often have this headset on for 6-10 hours a day. Overall, I find it very comfortable, but I would say the original Plantronics Legend was more comfortable. The Voyager Legend 50 sometimes gets a bit annoying on the top of the ear, where the Voyager Legend never has any discomfort spots. The first Voyager Legend 50 I received had a small, but annoying, crackle sounds after speaking that only I could hear. The replacement headset almost never does that. This is still the best Bluetooth headset I have found, and I will most likely be using it for years to come.

I’ve owned a few of this Voyager line through the years (and many, many other brands) and this new model doesn’t disappoint. There is nothing better when it comes to functionality and call quality. I travel a lot and work with heavy equipment outdoors. Mic noise reduction and sound quality doesn’t get any better. If you don’t mind getting the nickname of Bluetooth or Tony Robbins, there is no better choice than this. I can just get about a full day of heavy use on the batteries charge. When using the dongle on a PC the audio quality is insanely good. Nice to be able to have both PC and Phone connected simultaneously. It’s comfortable enough for its size and even though it’s on the pricier side it’s well worth the $ in my opinion. They get covered in sweat and rain and even a trip through the wash a time or two and are still going strong. After about a year, I start to notice a decline in battery performance when it gets to the point they don’t make it till lunchtime. It’s time for a new one, but up until that point the battery life is pretty good.

Everything about this product works well and I'm liking to be able to use it with 2 phones (or a phone and a computer) at the same time. I have to carry 2 phones for my job and this lets me answer both (even when talking on one, I can switch to the other). The fit using the installed earpiece works well. It doesn't hurt my ear like other earbuds in the past. The call quality is great and the noise cancelling has been beneficial. I have been able to talk or dictate while walking on busy roads without complaints or missed words. I like the case with the stand--its nice that the case charges it using 2 methods: while fully enclosed inside the case for travel or in the "stand" feature keeping it handy. Putting it on isn't quite as easy as other options (there must be a trick to getting it over my ear while keeping my hair out of the way, all the while, aligning the earbud and mic.). The app works well (PC, Mac OS, and iOS) and the wireless USB connector for computer use has been easy to use.

I've been a Voyager user for a very long time. In fact, this is my third or fourth unit having worn out the previous ones with daily use. No other headset is as comfortable, with great battery life. I've tried several other ear buds, but nothing comes close to the Voyager in my book. This new iteration is no longer compatible with my charging dock, but no worries it comes with a new charging dock/carrying case/battery backup! It's a very nice case and can be used either as a stand or a closed case. Nice design! The headset provides great sound quality, noise cancellation and comfort. It switches easily between my phone and computer as sound sources and the battery has never quit, even after a 12 hour day. It's so comfortable, I literally forget I'm wearing it. I'm knocking off one star because ever so often, the sound just stops and I have turn it off, then back on to reset it. This happens once every couple of days and is not a big deal.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: The device works good so far but every indication shows that the charging case is part of the purchase and it’s not. Another one of those products that fool you with pictures and wording.

I have read complaints by others about the device disconnecting or not being loud enough. Take those with a grain of salt. They could be operating in noising environments or possibly experiencing interference with their Bluetooth connections or using multiple devices. Lots of things could cause disconnects and “loud enough” is subjective. I use this headset in my home office working remote and also when I go into work from office buildings at my company. This is an office environment. The headset is plenty loud and people can hear me great on the other end. After a week of use I have had no issues with disconnecting. The headset is solid and works great with my 3 year old HP laptop running Windows 11. I use the built in Windows Bluetooth support and do not use the provided Bluetooth adapter (although I could). Everything is solid and works great. I love the case that provides additional charge and I can set the headset in the case, which acts as a stand, throughout my day when I am not using the headset for a meeting. All in all, glad I tried this out. Great device. Would absolutely buy again. I would only consider the device with the case as it protects the headset, gives you a nice little stand to set it in between meetings, and carries plenty of charge.

I’m pretty impressed with this headset. It easily connected to my PC with the dongle and was instantly ready for a Teams call. The call quality was really clear and I didn’t notice any lag. Volume/mute controls are easy to use. The fit felt a bit loose and it was a little difficult to change out the earpiece but it stayed secure the whole time I wore it. It’s a bit expensive but it is a good quality headset.

We did not get the charging case therefore it is useless. To order a charging case, it will cost an additional 43.25 + We did try reaching out, but the Bot suggested that I return. we don't want to return; we just want the case.
