Great little dongle to bring your car a little more up to date with either wireless carplay or android auto. The dongle itself is tiny and fit perfectly into the usb port needed for the phone functionality. I've noticed no lag whatsoever and works just as if the car had wireless carplay on its own. One drawback however is the dongle can only auto connect to one device at a time. My phone is android my wife's is apple. If I were to pair my phone manually (again) and use android auto she'd then have to pair her phone manually (again) to get it back to apple carplay next time she drives which to be honest adds a whole different hassle to the experience. You'd hope it would be able to remember at least two devices. Still, a decent enough price but if I ever find a better one that can manage two separate devices and just connect accordingly I'll be purchasing that.

The true test is time and use. After being my daily driver for weeks, the verdict is clear: impeccable. The connection has never wavered. Every feature has always been available. The system has never introduced a lag or delay. It’s proven itself under real-world conditions.

The connection is fast and stable. Music plays right away and there is no delay with maps or voice commands. The audio quality is just as good as when I was plugged in. I like that it comes with both USB A and USB C connectors so it can work in different cars. The setup takes less than a minute and after that it reconnects on its own every time.

I love this adapter!! My car required a cord plug in for Car Play and this device means that my phone now automatically connects to CarPlay without plugging in. It works great and connects very quickly every time! The sound is the same as before.

The only reason this is a 4 and not a 5 star rating is sometimes you have to reboot it. Meaning unplugging for a couple of min and plug back in. This only happens when the engine is first turned on, never during my journey and it always restarts the connection with no problems. For clarity I use my car every day for multiple trips, and this happens about once a week. If you are someone who uses a VPN on your phone, you will need to turn this off to enable connection. I do like it and I would recommend it. It's easy to set up, the light can be quite bright when night driving but I could easily cover that if it bothered me. I've only had it about 6 weeks but if it lasts then it's worth it.
