Holds the small pepper-spray gun for inside my waistband or on my ebike. Beats having it fall out of my pocket.

This is the second Mace Peppergun I've bought from Amazon. The first was the original metal version, which I gave to my daughter. The second is the new nylon (high impact plastic) replacement. While I liked the original enough to order a second, I actually like the new model a little more. It is lighter but seems very well built and durable. Having test fired both guns, the new version is just as effect and easy to use. The original unit requires the use of a special black tip on the OC canister to enable the OC to be propelled through the hole in the barrel. The canisters in the new version do not use the black tips and fit instead into a built-in slot in the barrel. You can still order the black tipped canisters from Mace to use in the original gun and you can remove the black tips to use the canisters in the new one. In conclusion the new gun is solid, has the same powerful stream, seems very well built, is lighter and is less expensive. The LED and strobe work well too. I'm a former police officer and law enforcement agency director. I'm a firm believer in having a less than lethal alternative since very few situations rise to the level of justifying deadly force. I highly recommend this product.

There's nothing fancy about this holster. It's simple nylon material sewn over what appears to be strip of plastic material and a soft material inside to protect the gun from scratches. It has belt loops on both sides to be worn on your right or left side but not for a thick, large belt maybe one inch wide at best. The strap that holds the gun in the holster uses a snap to close it which can be a bit of a pain but you shouldn't have to take it out that often. The straps are velcro so that you can switch them to change how the snap opens and closes. The ends of these straps are already starting to fray and I haven't even taken it out yet, just looked at it. The Mace brand pepper spray gun fits perfectly.

I ordered the mace brand mace gun, several practice cartridges, OC cartridges, and holster. The mace gun delivery system feels natural in hand and the point and shoot method requires little aiming do to the natural point of aim. The single led light in continuous mode offers very little in the way of defense or offense however in low light settings the strobe light feature would help distract an aggressor as the human eye takes time to refocus. The light is engaged by slightly pressing the trigger. On the first press the light is continuous upon releasing the trigger and slightly pressing the trigger again the strobe light is engaged. The safety is in a convenient and natural feeling location and does show orange when the safety is off fo those who need a visual que. The light can be used with the safety on although it serves very little purpose outside of learning the function of the gun. The trigger is stout "surprisingly so" And i was very pleased with it as you have to actually pull the trigger to deliver the product on target. The practice cartridges shot straight up to 25' 26'-33' shots are possible if you aim high account for drop. The holster is what you should expect for the price. Both sides of thr holster have belt loops and the straps that hold the male and female parts of the snap can be removed and switched around to accommodate left or right handed draw. All and all i am very happy with the products to use as a back up/less lethal carry option

This is an outside the waistband (OWB) nylon holster for the Mace Pepper Gun . The gun slides in very easily, and yet fits snug enough that I can turn the holster upside down and the gun won't fall out unless I shake it a bit. It comes with a snap-over strap that you can use to more securely retain the gun in the holster if you want that extra peace of mind, which some do. However I removed my strap (it attaches to the holster on the bottom with velcro) since my preferred carry technique is concealed underneath a loose fitting shirt not tucked in, and the gun isn't going anywhere. I want rapid deployment & a strap would just get in my way. The holster is ambidextrous. It has belt loops on both the right and the left side. Another option is the Mace Leather Holster which is more durable but more expensive. However the leather holster is for right handed shooters only. I have both, and depending on the carry circumstances grab the one I need at that time. I think you'll be satisfied with either holster if you chose to purchase one. They both work very well.

Didn't get to review the gun so here goes. I may have just got a lemon but this gun was defective. On first test with water I took gun outside. When gun loaded and closed it just went off and emptied. I thought I did something wrong however not the case as it is a fairly simple device. On next loading after making sure cartridge was all the way seated, upon closing gun it just fired and emptied again. Gun went in the trash, holster returned.

This case is exactly what I expected. Small, convenient, very sturdy, very adjustable (both straps are secured by Velcro), and could probably work for a small pistol as well, even though it was meant for the Mace gun. Update: found a flaw. The Mace Pepper Gun fits perfectly into this holder. However, the barrel end of the holder is completely open and the gun slides too far forward. Luckily it's tight enough to contain the gun without much movement, but the manufacturer should have included some type of latch or locking device.

Does the basic job but lacks advanced features. For a beginner, it's fine. More experienced users might want something better. My two cents.
