What is the max weight load?

Not sure of maximum weight, however I'm 6' 2" 280Lbs. The cane is absolutely sturdy with no sign of stress.

Cam this also be used to ward of wild dogs or coyote while walking my dog??

Should work if animal is very close. Would suggest something with longer range for first line of defense, for example a spray product.

I am 5'3". will this cane work for me?

Based on your height and our size chart, it's recommended a 33" long walking cane. The cane in the US warehouse is currently 36'' long, but you can shorten it to your desired size using a wood saw. A detailed manual for this process is included. Alternatively, we can make a custom 33 inches Vesper cane for you. It's handmade at a family workshop located in the western part of Ukraine! Most of the canes are stored in the US warehouse and can be delivered in 3-5 days within the U.S.
