Quick and helpful for plant care
Super easy to use—just stick it in the soil and you instantly see moisture and pH levels. It’s helped me avoid overwatering my plants. Basic but effective, great tool for everyday gardening!

Good product
Perfect for the new garden I’m creating in my house! Works perfect, it gives accurate measurements so it helps me to know the amount of water each plant retains. Good price.

Great product but a little bit of problems with PH
This is a very nice product and is almost perfect in every way However, the reason I’m Give it four instead of five stars, though is because the PH part of it can change depending on the moisture leading to inaccurate results so just make sure that you have about a Six on a moisture level when testing for pH

Easy-to-Read Soil Meter, Reliable for Gardening Decisions
Pros Dual dial design: Separate screens for pH and moisture make it simple to read at a glance. Color coding and larger display are very user-friendly. Convenient: Tests both soil pH and moisture with one insertion, saving time and avoids extra pokes. No batteries needed: Just insert and read; very straightforward for beginners and handy for quick checks. Good value: Priced well compared to other meters I’ve tried. Accuracy I tested this meter with vinegar (pH 2.5–3) and NYC tap water (pH 6.5–7.5), and the readings fell in the expected ranges (3–4 for vinegar, 6–7 for water). I also tested it on my garden soil and compared the readings against pH test paper. The results were close, showing the meter is accurate enough for gardening purposes. The attached picture shows the soil meter reading side by side with the pH paper result from my plants’ soil. While not lab-precise, it’s consistent within ±0.5 — good enough for making general gardening decisions (e.g., when to acidify soil for blueberries). Limitations Like most inexpensive analog soil meters, it’s not lab-accurate. Expect ±0.5 variation. Best for trends (acidic vs neutral vs alkaline), not exact decimal values. Accuracy may drop if soil is very dry, compacted, or if probes get dirty/oxidized. In Sum This meter is easy to use. It won’t give precise lab numbers, but it’s accurate enough to guide watering and soil amendments. After trying several other meters that failed or gave unreliable results, this one feels like a solid choice.

Does it really work?
I just received this and I’m already skeptical. I’m not sure if the PH dial is supposed to just come already pointing at 7 or if I got a faulty probe. I stuck this in a plant that I watered just yesterday and physically touched the soil and it registered as dry. I bottom water, so I wasn’t just touching watered top soil. I also tested this on a plant that I know needs to be watered and thankfully that showed dry, which I knew. And then to really test it out, I tested a plant that I just finished watering and it’s on the dry/moist line, registering between 2-3. I attempted to take a video showing how it worked but you can only post one video so it’s kind of rushed…just know that before I took this video I had already taken measurements and left the probe in there until the meter stopped moving. Now am I saying this doesn’t work, perhaps but there’s a possibility that I received a faulty probe although the fact that it did register the one plant as dry, when I knew it would, I just don’t know honestly. I will be sending this back and requesting a refund and perhaps investing in a different one or maybe I will just stick to using a chopstick or my finger to test.

Do ur homework
Nowhere does it tell u this but the way these probe units work u need to have wet(not moist) soil to get a somewhat accurate pH reading. It will not work on dry soil. Also, it needs to be inserted at least 3.5 inches or thereabouts. For a cheap instrument it does what it says. Hope this helps

Item Works!
I was too impatient and couldn't wait till spring start testing my soil. I stabbed all over in my mostly frozen ground and the ph did show different in a couple different places which matches what I would expect. This item does work.
