Crankcase Vent Valve + PCV Valve Seal Replacement For 2006-2009 VW GTI Jetta MK5 Passat B6 Eos A3 A4 TT 2.0T FSI 06F129101P

I replaced a defective OEM PCV valve and gasket on my 2008 VW GTI. I had an intermittent boost leak and oil leaking from my valve cover gasket, but I wasn't 100% sure it was my PCV since my idle was stable as a rock. Rather than spend $75 on an OEM PCV and gasket which might not be the cause of the problem, I bought this for $25 instead and it fixed the problem. All the boost is back and, after tightening up the valve cover bolts, no more leaks. Turns out the PCV was faulty and directing air pressure into the valve cover.In comparison to my OEM revision "N" this unit looks the same and feels exactly the same quality, which is good. However, the supplied gasket feels a little flimsier than the OEM gasket; not substantially so, but it's not surprising given that the cost of this valve and gasket together is cheaper than the OEM gasket by itself. I've had this installed for a week and it's been fine, even with Stage 2 levels of boost. I will update this review if it fails down the road.

Installed this in my mk5 GTI after learning the original PCV valve was failing and causing underboost. Seemed to function okay the first couple days, but the first time I actually drove my car fast it failed and caused a major valve cover gasket blowout. I ended up replacing the gasket, all coils and spark plugs, and obviously the PCV valve. $300 dollars worth of repairs later I can say do not put in your car and expect top performance.

I first installed this vent 3 Weeks ago and it failed almost upon installation. Amazon was fantastic about getting a replacement out, but that two has failed with in two weeks of installation. I highly recommend going the OEM rout with this part
