This cake topper set was the perfect addition to a cake I made over the weekend. The cake itself was a 6” 5 layer cake made with the Wilton cake pan set. The Happy Birthday sign is really nicely made with an actual metal frame which was heavy and sturdy. Make sure you remove the clear film on the sign prior to presenting. Because it was a little heavy and the pick itself was a little short, I dipped a marshmallow in chocolate and placed the sign in that to help secure it to the cake and give it some heighth. I attached the marshmallow with a dollop of melting chocolate. For the butterflies, they are made out of sturdy cardboard and came with the adhesive dots to secure to the picks however, I attached them with hot glue. As seen in the picture, I added dipped strawberries, macarons, and tons of fresh flowers. The sign and butterfly picks made the cake and couldn’t have been happier with the outcome. I will be buying this item again!!!!

Although stunning, the cake topper was much too small for my two tier three layer cake. However, it would look great on top of a smaller cake.
