My g. Retriever is doing better and the first package is not used up yet. The side supplement with it is great at Killing his constant begging for my food. He sits quietly now, and he watches me without begging me for anything. He is thinning down . I'm So Grateful 🙏He's calm and patient with meals and still gobble his food,normally. I ordered this product because my dog is almost 9 years old and needs to lose weight because his weight is not healthy and negatively impacting his joints. Dietary dog food is expensive so I was surprised to see there was a powder supplement that can easily administered by mixing in with whatever food you already feed your pup. This is a big deal because dogs have sensitive a digestive system and is vital to mix any new food with current food, slightly increasing the amount of new food each meal, for 5-7 days to give time for adjustment when introducing new food to your dog's diet. Otherwise, abrupt changes to diet can cause digestive issues like diarrhea, vomiting, and loss of appetite, which can quickly spiral and cause many other adverse health issues.The powder was soft enough that it mixed right into his dry food. It definitely attributed to appetite suppression, but not as intended, but because my dog would not eat his food with this stuff mixed in. I even resisted the urge to give him a bowl without, thinking if he got hungry enough, he would eventually eat it. Unfortunately, that did not work as it had in the past, even with medications that weren't masked with flavor. It got to the point to him not eating for an entire full day that I was forced to give him food without this powder so he would eat.Given the fact that my dog scours the ground looking and eating anything he finds without hesitation, yet would not even try this powder, I cannot say as to whether this product effectively provides all of the benefits as described. The one star given is due to the lack of flavor appeal to my pup, which is the first essential hurdle to overcome in order for this product to be effective. I waited to give this review to see if it worked or not. Unfortunately all i can say is ut must not taste bad because my dog would eat the food with it in it . As to weight loss, i haven't seen that yet . If you want to buy this do but i think actual exercise and food management will be the same with thos or not . Its a great concert but just didn't work for my fat pup .

My dog wasn't crazy about the taste. It appears that the ingredients seem to be good. But since I'm unable to taste it myself, I can only go on my dog's opinion. And he just wasn't crazy about it!

BUY THIS!!! I have a Chihuahua/Jack Russell dog that is 4 and has gotten a little chunky. Before it became a big problem, I opted to try this weight management for dogs. The bag is tiny, so I thought it was a little expensive, but holy cow - I was wrong. On the first night, I just sprinkled a little on a corner of his dog food in case he wouldn't eat it and I'd have to waste the whole bowl. Not a problem, he really likes it. Now, here's where things got interesting. My Chihuahua/MinPin is the pickiest eater on the planet. She doesn't like dog food. I have tried most of the store brands, subscription kinds, and even made home-cooked dog food - but she wouldn't eat any of it. She's just as picky about treats. That said, you can imagine my surprise when SHE started eating his dog food where I had sprinkled the weight management powder. I sprinkled a little on her food, and she ate ALL of her dog food. WHAT?! She doesn't need to lose weight, but she loves this stuff, and she will actually eat her kibble if I sprinkle a little. As for my Jack Russell - it has only been a few days, but most importantly, he will eat it. Second, I have noticed he has more energy and is playing and chasing squirrels in the backyard more. Third, he is walking away from his bowl without finishing and isn't asking for a bunch of treats. This may be my new mainstay. Oh, and don't be shocked by how small the bag is - you don't need much, so it lasts pretty well. For the price, I would say this is a fantastic bargain!
