Roast Ridge Ground Cold Brew Coffee Blend, 2 lb.

Purchased this brand of coarse ground coffee for cold brew due to the affordable price and while I tempered my expectations a bit, it absolutely delivers on the end result. I brew my cold brew coffee in a very large jar with a filtered bag using a 1:8 ratio of coffee grounds to water for about 16 hours at room temperature. I had no issues with the coffee grounds leaking through the bag or creating any sludge so the grind is great on this. I've noticed other reviewers complaining about the inconsistent grind so I will update this if I experience that with future purchases. Taste came out fine as well. I drink it straight black at the 1:8 ratio and I like it. It doesn't blow me away but it's perfectly acceptable and delivers a smooth and enjoyable taste. I'm sure most people would prefer to add cream, milk or sugar to their drink which will further enhance the flavor but just note that even the straight black result is still enjoyable. I was more than satisfied with my first experience with this ground coffee and I'll be purchasing it again in the future. I'll update my review if I encounter any issues with future purchases but for now, I highly recommend trying this ground coffee if you're looking for an affordable option.

Definitely does not taste inexpensive.

Still on my first bag taste great does a great job for cold brew. I love cold brew I don’t think I’ll ever go back to hot coffee maybe in the winter but yes, this is very good. Buy again. We’ll buy again.

tastes good but a little overpriced

I never write reviews, but this time it felt like i had too. I only drink Iced Coffee, and normally its from my Kurig that has a cold brew system. I found this coffee and starting using my french press again. I brew 1/4 cup of grounds to on liter of water and then once cool i place it in the refrigerator. The flavor is superb never bitter, and this is very enjoyable to drink, I have never added anything to my coffee for me it has to be cold and black just the way it was intended. I would recommend to those that like black coffee for its flavor and quality. For those that add creamers, sugars, and syrups, let's be real does not matter what you drink it will taste like what you put in it.
