Have bought this jean for at least 20 years. My local store that sold them closed. Elsewhere they were as much as $39.95 on line. The waist band will stretch about 1 to 1 1/4 inch. NOTE: The body of this jean is 100% cotton and not part spandex. The fabric content label shows, "99% Cotton, 1% Spandex". That 1% is only in the waistband. Avoid those that have spandex in the total material. They do not look like a "real" jean and seem hotter. I bought a pair once by mistake. I just marked one pair as "work jeans" and they are over 5 years old. I write the purchase date inside each pair I buy in case of a failure in under 1 year.. There was a 3 month period where Amazon did not have this product, so when they do, I order two pair. They now have a new color, SLATE, which I also like and the material appears to be a little lighter weight, which is fine for warmer weather. they are a great "dress" jean for a dance, or a night out. Use caution when shopping as the Wranglers with spandex in the legs will be labeled something like "comfort fit" or "flex fit". I'm one of those oldsters that fluctuate between a 38" waist and a 40" waist. So, I have to either buy a 38 or a 40 waist pair of jeans, depending on my girth. This is really troublesome. I have a whole closet full or 38's and 40's; which means, I can wear half of them, most of the time. With this pair of Comfort-Flex Waist jeans from Wrangler, I can cover all of my bases. I got this pair yesterday, and I tried them on. They fit like a glove. I'm right now in that zone between 38 and forty; neither one nor the other. I put them on. They look great! They feel great! Wrangler, you outdid yourself. It looks like a tailor made a pair just for me. I'm definitely buying more than I pair; and they have them in a couple of different shades.

I'm getting older (56 as I write this), and I've been between 34 and 36 pants for years now. I really need 35" waist in my jeans, but when I buy that size, they slip down over my hips. I'm wearing my first pair of Wrangler Comfort Fit with the elastic waist for the first time today, and they feel great - I got 34's, which I can barely get on without the elastic, but these went on easily and feel fantastic.Highly recommended for older guys with no butt, and other folks who are hard to fit.UPDATE: I wanted another pair in a lighter color - I was disappointed that "light stonewashed" were still pretty dark, so I ordered a third pair in "Slate", and they look really worn out already, or like I've already been wiping my hands on my pants - see picture I just added. The pair on the left are the new slate color comfort flex, an the others are a pair of regular old Wrangler regular fit jeans that I pulled out of my drawer - they're probably 3 years old, washed weekly.

I purchased 2 pairs of these jeans almost exactly 6 months ago to date. They were extremely comfortable and I was certain I had found my new go-to work jeans.Last week I was wearing a pair at work (I do finish carpentry and drywall) and noticed the crotch was semi-blown out. Embarrassing to find at a clients home but definitely not something that hasn’t happened before, no biggie. I went home and put them on the shelf to repair at a later date since I am past warranty.Yesterday, at the same clients home, I am wearing my second pair of these Wranglers, bend over to pick up a piece of crown molding when I hear the noise no one wants to hear. The sound of your entire Butt on your jeans blowing out. That’s 2 for 2 - in one week!!!This is very disappointing - especially considering the fact that COVID had us out of work for 3.5 months and I never wore either of these jeans during that period. That means they lasted around 2.5 months in total. That being said, I can not recommend these.

I’m older and have no butt and Levi’s inch down if my pockets are full. With the stretchy waist, I get a better fit and they drift down much less. Also, they are very comfortable.

I purchased these for Mr. Cranky, who usually buys the “old man” full elastic waist jeans from another company. First, he was reluctant to try them on, whining that they wouldn’t fit around the waist..but I was happily surprised by his reaction! He loves these! Says they are really comfortable around the waist, (they really do have some stretch in the waistband) and he is so happy to have jeans without the wide elephant legs that seem to be on most large size pants. And..after washing, they’re still fitting! (We hang to dry & fluff in dryer for 10 minutes to remove wrinkles) So glad I took the chance & ordered them!

A pair of jeans that fit a large frame without looking like a bag ! This is my fourth pair and I am pleased beyond expectations. Wrangler produces a competitive look-good,feel-good men's blue jean in what they call "AUTHENTICS" and the price is far less than Levis. Shrinkage is minimal as is fading from regular laundering.

These are the most comfortable and good fitting jeans I've worn in a long time. Not only that, but they look nice. The waist expands just a bit for comfort, but the legs don't balloon out like clown pants. A common theme on most jeans for portly gents. Liked these so much I immediately bought another pair.

Jean's should have ordered a 40 only. On the big side maybe cos comfort fit.....Have kept them but again wud order different.Leg length is perfect.Quality is good.....

As always wrangler jeans made to the best quality and the sizes are spot on.

La verdad es que el color y la calidad de la tela los hace ver como jeans de supermercado. No se ven nada premium ni modernos, pero son pantalones económicos, es perfectamente comprensible, así son. Ahora lo muy bueno, tienen un poquito de licra por lo que son bastante cómodos, aunque el corte no es nada entallado, casi se sienten como pants, en ningún momento del día se sienten. En la cintura tienen un tipo de elástico como elástico de ropa interior que hace que crezcan una talla al estirarse, eso en mi experiencia hacen que sean demasiado cómodos.

My dad is a big guy and he has a hard time finding jeans that fit him well. Not sure why manufacturers make the leg of the pant as big as the waist. Just because you have a big abdomen doesn't mean you have big legs too. Anyway, the waist and leg pants of these jeans fit him really well. The material is light and great for summer. I will be purchasing more pairs.
