It's ideal for minimalist backcountry travel from spring through early fall, and versatile enough for hut-to-hut traverses and car camping in any season. This quilt is quite a revelation. Have avoided down sleep systems for decades, but this one performed really well in damp conditions while cycle-touring in France Sept. 2016. We also bought a regular-sized Corus HD from REI, and the ability to snap the quilts together while still having separate foot-pockets makes for a very comfortable and warm experience. My wife loves the system! With inflatable mattresses from Thermarest and elegant mattress hold-together straps from a backpacking boutique company, along with small inflatable pillows, our sleep system is light, compact during transport, and extremely comfortable.

Performs better than expected
I recently took this quilt on a two night, 28 mile backpacking trip in Lost Creek Wilderness, Colorado. The second night's temperatures were certainly below the rating for this quilt, as it got below freezing when we camped over 10,000'. I didn't get cold either night, but I was using the quilt in conjunction with a relatively warm pad, a bivy and all of my sleeping clothes including thermals, a fleece, a down jacket and a balaclava. All in all I was actually rather warm this way. There are two really great things that go to recommend this quilt: its performance in pairing with your sleeping pad, and its size and weight when packed. In regards to the former, its long side baffles easily drape over the sleeping pad and stay in place to keep drafts out, even when you don't attach it using the included self-adhesive anchor points (which don't really work). It also has a great elasticized pocket at the bottom that enfolds the foot of the pad. I was using a full size rectangular pad and once I slipped the pad into the quilt, and then both into the bivy, I never had to worry about the quilt moving out of place. As far as weight and size go, you can pack this thing into an absurdly small amount of space and it weighs MUCH less than full sleeping bags of a similar price and performance proposition (about a pound less than most).I must also say that on the second night my bivy somehow wetted out and the quilt got very damp in the entire area of my right shoulder and arm, but aside from the dampness I was still warm and comfortable. The only reason I'm giving this four stars instead of five is because for just slightly more than the retail price of this quilt, you can have a 20 degree quilt with real baffles custom made for you by Enlightened Equipment ($255). I think this quilt will suit me just fine but if you are a colder sleeper or are camping deeper into the shoulder seasons you might want to consider going with something a little more robust.

Great buy and quilt.
Great quilt. Small, compact, light and warm. After spending 2 weeks hiking I will definitely invest in the Thermarest sheet that this will snap to. I bought an off brand sheet (Nemo I think) that this wouldn't snap to and I can see it being very useful in colder weather.

Love that I've finally gotten around to buying one of these. First time out, I camped at 20°F. It was a little chilly and I found myself adding clothing layers as I hadn't expected to be needed and was merely showing up to make sure everyone got off ok. Second time out was a little better. at 30, I only needed to add a fleece and was very comfortable. Used it just this weekend at 45 and was in boxers only with two of the snaps unattached for ventilation. This quilt is so light and compressible. Definitely a must have for anyone wanting to lighten their load but still use a sleeping pad.

Purchased for 12 day PCT hike in WA State. Nights between 32 and 38 degrees. I additionally used long undergarments and a down best for sleeping. The sleeping quilt kept me warm, even when damp from 24 hours of rain and while wearing some wet gear in bag to dry it out. I am a side sleeper do I did not attach to my Therm-A-Reset sleeping pad, I was able to tuck in the quilt and prevent cold spots. I am 6 feet tall around 200 pounds. I really like the foot box makes it easy to keep it in place.

If I like it I will update the review
640 grams in the stuff sack with the label removed and the stuff sack draw string shortened a little. I was hoping for a little lighter weight but it's ok I guess for a 35* rating. I have the sheet from Thermarest too so we will see how this system works. If I like it I will update the review.

Not really a 35 degree range. Was too cold in the 50s and had to add extra clothing to be comfortable....and that was on a cot with a insulated air pad and sheet on top of it too.

Very warm, comfy, and light. I like being able to curl up against myself - I feel warmer that way vs a mummy bag.

Super light, warm & small pack down size.
Finally l have taken the leap and moved away from the restrictive mummy sleeping bag. I have always needed to turn from my back to either side while sleeping but found myself twisted like a pretzel in a sleeping bag. I am slim in size so it wasn't the bulk. Now with this sleeping quilt I am free. Along with a good pad (thermarest) and I use a summer sleeping bag (super light) opened as a pad cover I have such a great sleep. The quilt is extremely light and warm with extra down in the baffling either side, at the feet and at the top. Another excellent feature is the pack down size, think kitchen roll and you can put it pretty much anywhere in your bag.

Overpriced.
This would be expensive at half the price. Nice idea, and the item is well made. The material may be state of the art, but it feels very flimsy and the side fasteners feel like they will tear easily from the seam. Down fill is not great either even after a good shake and several days left to loft. Hold it up to the light and you can see how inconsistant the filling is.
