bought as spares.
one of the original bulbs failed so it was easy to replace it as I have purchased spares. The electric insect controller is on 24/7 and works well. quite a loud crack when the insect gets caught in side on the wire.

Good lamps
Good exchange for my fly killer although old ones working obviously they diminish over time and it makes a big difference to how many flys you catch overall a good replacement

Good while it lasted
Both bulbs stopped working in under a month. Can’t contact through Amazon as it keeps trying to direct to Amazon fulfilment even though they were delivered over 31 days ago.

Work but not great life
Once I'd ordered I realised I'd ordered exactly the same lamps only a year earlier. Sure it runs 24/7 but I would have expected a couple of years. Not terrible though. I'd prefer to pay more not to have to change them once a year TBH.

A plague of flies
I am lucky enough to live in a rural area surrounded by agricultural land. But there is, of course, a downside and in this case the downside is that when livestock are grazing the adjacent fields they tend to bring with them a veritable plague of flies. The quantity will vary according to the time of year and the weather but the summer months tend to be the worst. As a result I have to deploy multiple lines of defence. Chain link on the doorways, fly papers and fly attractant jars being some of them. But the good old electric zapper is part of the armoury too.And especially in my conservatory the zapper is king. I have it set on a timer so that the blue light attracts the flies to their doom at night. And the blue light is key. You need the light to be at the frequency which is most attractive to flies. And you also need to replace the blue lights on a regular basis. When I thought mine were coming to the end of their useful life I was offered these and was happy to take. Fitted perfectly and have been very successful. At £11.99 for the pair they are, considering the relief they bring, worth every penny.
