Great for frozen food shopping and as a picnic bag.
I am on Amazon Prime and ordered the bag yesterday afternoon and it arrived this morning at 9.30am. It came in an Amazon Box and was signed for.In order to pack it flat I found the top lid had been unzipped all the way around apart from a short length across the back and the rest of the bag folded. The problem with bags is their handles and zips. I always open and shut zips a few times when a bag is bought or arrives.First of all being a plain dark green with beige straps and zips means it does not shout out "I'm a picnic hamper" or "I'm a cold food bag". If you had smart dark green luggage this bag will not look out of place so you could pay the nearly £19. knowing it would not be used on just the rare occasion of a picnic.Next the size of the bag - I use a 4 wheel shopping trolley sometimes and I feel this bag full could not be hung from the handle of my trolley because of its solid bulk. I use a baby trolley clip to hang carrier bags from the trolley's handle. I suppose I could lie this bag on its back or front on the top of the shopping trolley. The bag is fourteen inches high x twelve inches wide and 9 inches deep app. overall. It's got a shoulder strap and two handles sewn to the front and the back. There is a flat pocket with a zip fastening on the front. There are two stretch net bags either side which would come in useful for two slim but not very tall vacuum flasks of hot tea or coffee if used for picnics. Both long zips have double ends.First of all I felt the weight. I have to admit that the bag does have a weighty feel while empty but it is a good, well made bag - not just plastic with handles and a zip. Using it as a frozen food store from supermarket to home in a car or taxi this weight would not be a problem. Walking a long way carrying it full or down a steep cliff path to a beach - I'd make sure someone else carries the drinks ! ! ! in a different bag.I unzipped the top zip to reveal the full width, one and a half inch deep compartment, the zip goes all the way around apart from about 8 " at the back. I don't think I'd unzip this to put a packet of fish fingers in it but it is an admirable size to place a flat freezer block in (and on the bottom of the main compartment) if you are going to use the bag to transport frozen or chilled food in a car for a couple or even more hours. Also with the top lid open the inside of the insulated compartment makes a flat surface off the ground for your wine glasses or drinks etc. if you are using it for picnicing. When fastening the lid you'd be as well each time you do it to push down a little insulated lining just near where the zip curves as you zip around the front two corners - the silver coloured insulated fabric could get punctured by the zip and would then tear. You can see the lining has been deliberately stitched so it is lower than the zip, but if it is too low it would leave an unprotected line for warmth to penetrate.Next I unzipped the bottom part of the bag. Because the shaping of the top part when zipped up, the top is a lot firmer than the bottom part when it is empty this means the lower zip is a bit more difficult to unzip or zip up. I think I'll leave the top part unzipped till the bottom has been filled and zipped. A previous reviewer mentioned this problem. The internal measurements of the bottom part I give are excluding the small area at the top where the zip is.The base compartment is between eleven and eleven and a half inches high. Its width is app. twelve inches and depth is about 7" which is narrower than the top compartment. If you put the odd thing like a bottle just over 12" tall in - it would probably fit and zip up ok because the underneath of the lid is flexible to an extent but I wouldn't have more than one thing pushing up against the top compartment. The bottom compartment is lined with white, good quality plastic. This lining is only fixed around the top of the compartment so you can empty the bag and pull the lining out as far as you can and shake the bag to get rid of crumbs or the odd frozen chip from a torn frozen food packet ! ! !. It could be wiped with a damp cloth and dried with a dry one.You could spray it with a anti-biological spray like Dettol and leave it to air if necessary if you had ever forgotten and left some food in it.The bag has been very well made. All the ends of the handle straps AND the shoulder straps are sewn securely on to the fabric of the bag but not all the way through to the lining. All the ends of the straps end inside a seam and are therefore not visible or liable to fraying. The shoulder strap has a sliding buckle so you can reduce or increase the length. If the shoulder strap is not necessary and it annoys you the only way to get rid of it is to cut it off.The problem I have with the handles may have been just on the bag I was sent. The back handle is sewn to the back of the bag and has an attached comfortable handgrip centrally on it.The front handle, sewn onto the front of the bag has its middle folded and stitched so that that part fits inside the handgrip - but what I have found is that the front handle is about one and half to two inches longer than the back so when it is in the grip it means the bag once filled will hang crookedly. This would not matter if it was never intended to be carried very full.I am a sewer so it is no problem to just fold the strap close to the bag's top and stitch it just shortening it by the 2". There would then be a little loop that I could fit a D-ring in. Like I said it may just be that only my bag has this little error. So I have given the bag 10 stars despite a silly little problem with one of the handles. Not unsurmountable but annoying, in fact if I was buying this bag in a shop AND it was the last one AND I noticed this little thing I WOULD STILL BUY THE BAG.I like the bag so much I am not reducing the 5 stars.

Keeps food nice and cold, but can be uncomfortable to carry
We have used this cool bag for several picnics, festivals, and day trips out in the car – overall, we’ve always been impressed with how much food and drink it can hold. The bag maintains the cold temperature well. In my experience, it holds at a cold temperature for up to 4 or 5 hours, even in 30-degree heat. There is a useful compartment in the lid which holds ice packs and keep the bag nice and chilled. In terms of space, we can comfortably fit a bottle of fizz, enough food for two people, plus cups and plates, etc. There are several pockets located within the bag, all of which are useful for separating items, such as cutlery, napkins, etc.It is very easy to clean. The material on the internal lining can be simply wiped with a cloth.I have tested the bag with relatively heavy contents and on all occasions I found it coped well.An area for improvement would be the over-the-shoulder strap, which would benefit from increased cushioning, and therefore provide added comfort when carrying heavy loads.Overall, taking into account the price, the temperature control, and the fact that it is durable enough to last for a number of years, this cool bag is a recommended buy. It would have received a 5-star rating if the carry strap had been more comfortable.

Stylish and functional
Very much like the styling, Keeps food cool for a reasonably long time and has a useful pocket for odds & ends. I'm finding the zip use less than user friendly as it snags on the insulation material at the point it bends around the corners. Also having experienced other makes the weak point is normally the zip and whilst it's early days in use and no problem so far the zip doesn't feel any stronger than other makes. Delivery was much faster than stated and the item was well packaged. 3 stars for now and if it lasts usage of 4 times a week for more than 2 years I'll willing improve the ratting.

Superior quality cool bag.
This bag is fantastic, I really love it. High quality and good looking. I bought this to ferry chilled/frozen items with me on train journeys. My daughter lives in Cornwall and since I follow a raw gluten free, dairy free diet I like to take some things with me already prepared. Other cool bags I have had are either too large and clumsy or small and inadequate. This one is perfect. I wanted something that would fit under my legs whilst sitting in my train seat, this does the job. Plus it has sturdy handles that are held together with velcro and a long strap which allows the bag to go on or over your shoulder. This is handy if I need to change trains and require both hands for other luggage. It's also great for shopping and use in a more conventional way. I expect it would be great for picnics. One reviewer complained the bag 'caved in' if it didn't have much stuff inside. I have not found that to be a problem. I cannot praise this bag highly enough and I think the price was very reasonable too, especially for the quality.

Good quality cool bag
This cool bag is externally very well made, and internally well insulated. One fault is that the zip on the lower main section of the bag sometimes snags the insulated lining, also it does not really like being folded flat for storage

Good purchase
Was exactly what we needed for our trip around Spain. Kept everything cool even without ice packs. Very sturdy and attractive compared to others we have had in the past. The extra space in the lid itself was great for keeping open packs of meats and cheeses away from the rest of the items. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a good looking cool bag.
