Best filter I’ve ever had!
Easy to setup, high quality parts, suction cups work very well, easy to clean, high water flow, I’m super happy with this purchase. Well worth the money and has a professional, streamlined look. There’s an incredible amount space for mechanical and biological filtration. I’m coming from the Fluval 301 and 401 series and this is a serious upgrade that I won’t go back from.

Areas where it can be improved
I normally only use Fluval Fx6 filters however I’m starting to cycle a 150 gallon aquarium which I plan to use for discus fish. The reason I opted for the.Oase filter this time around is because of the easy changing of the pre-filter discus fish require very clean water and the FX six is a bit of a nitrate trap so I would constantly be opening up that FX six canister rinse out the filter, pads and sponges. The idea of just pulling up the pre-filter and rinsing it and putting it back without having to open up the whole canister is a huge plus however there are some things I’m not very happy with the turnover rate is nowhere near that of an FX six so I would need two of these on my 150 gallon tank so that’s over $800 to filter the tank. Also there’s no light that goes on to indicate the heater is working properly. I use a heater controller and plug this heater into the controller as well as a titanium heater rod inside the tank. This way both heaters will function through the controller. If one goes down I’ll have a back up however there’s no way of knowing whether the heater is working or not working, there’s no light to indicate such. It seems very strange to me. I’ve never seen a heater without a light to tell you whether it’s working, certainly not one inside a canister that definitely needs a light. I just plugged it in a couple of days ago and started my cycle so I have no long-term experience to compare this with any other filter but right off the bat those are too big things that should be fixed, especially at this price, a higher turnover rate and a light to indicate whether the heater is on or not at this price point those two things should’ve been addressed, especially since this is their second iteration of the same filter very strange I’ll come back to this review after a few months and let you know how it’s doing. I’m debating putting an FX six on this tank though because one filter is not going to be enough biological media for the discus Tank

Avoid at all cost
Recently purchased A Bio Master 2 350 set it all up and I’m barely getting enough flow for a 10 gallon tank even though it’s rated for 90 gallons call customer service to try to refund it as I’ve only owned it three days they said that they can’t return it since I opened it won’t even warranty it. They said I have to FaceTime them and if something‘s wrong with it, they’ll send me the parts to fix it after I just spent nearly $400 on a three day old filter
