As good if not better than the original
Bought for my son-in-law, played together at Christmas. Was wondering what this newer version would be like as I've played the old version. loved it. Nice graphics, good sturdy wooden pieces. And it's a great game!

Classic game with 4 expansions included and a well needed retheme. Great but with caveats
I bought the Puerto Rico 1897 (english/french version) from Amazon.es on the 15th of April 2024 and received it on the 19th of April 2024. On the 20th of April I got to open the game and take a look at its contents to check if this was indeed the corrected version. Indeed it seems the corrected version, partially at least, however, the instructions manuals are not the corrected ones, and the tiles mat is missing the coin price number in the french side. I am sending photos attached to show this. I already sent an email to Ravensburguer requesting replacement of these parts, I am still waiting for a reply. Other than this this is a classic fantastic game that I can recommend buying as long as you get it without any of the issues that have plagued it since its initial launch in 2022.

Recibí mi copia desde Amazon Estados Unidos y ya es la versión actualizada con los componentes adecuados. La caja viene sin la envoltura de plástico, pero viene sellada con 4 pegatinas en cada lado de la misma.

Plays just like the older version, but with upgrades such as new buildings.
My family loves this game. It's a little bit niche and difficult to find. This one is updated from the ones my sisters have and I was worried if it would be and play the same. It does, but in addition has an expansion. We haven't played some of the new buildings yet, but are excited to introduce that when we have more time to figure it out and play consistently. This is one of those more advanced games where you will feel like you have no idea what is going on the first time through, but is so fun after the first go. So many different strategies.

Arrivato puntuale e in ottime condizioni. 👌 • scatola sigillata con 4 adesivi trasparenti sui lati • componenti e manuale ora corretti • i dischetti lavoratore sono color marrone • le tessere edificio hanno disegno e ANCHE il testo inglese stampato sopra (che ne riassume l'effetto) Consiglio poi comunque di stampare dal sito della Ravensburger i "fogli di aiuto" con le descrizione degli edifici (disponibili in inglese o in italiano). A quanto pare il criterio per riconoscere, perlomeno nel caso dell'attuale versione in commercio, se la scatola contiene i componenti corretti e il manuale aggiornato è il seguente. • scatola sigillata col cellophane: probabilmente No • scatola sigillata con 4 adesivini trasparenti sui lati: probabilmente Sí
