LitEnergy A4 Portable LED Light Box Trace, Light Pad USB Power LED Artcraft Tracing Light Table for Tattoo Transferring, Drawing, Sketching, Animation

I just received this today, so I haven't had time to put it through its paces yet, but I am very pleased with it so far. It is very easy to use. It's extremely lightweight, and it's very thin, making it perfect to rest on my lap and easy to store away when not in use. I got it to use as a light box for reviewing my film negatives, and it works beautifully for that purpose. It must be plugged in to use it. To turn the light off, simply give the power button a quick tap, and do the same to turn the light on. To brighten or dim the light, simply touch and hold the power button until the light is at the desired brightness. The light is very consistent and even over the surface of the board, and it does not cause any glare in my eyes, which is important, as I have some sensitivity to that, which can be quite bothersome in certain types of light. The power cord could stand to be a little longer, but if using on a desk that has an outlet nearby you shouldn't have an issue. Keep in mind that it only comes with the usb cord, not the power adapter plug for the outlet, so make sure to have one of those handy. Those are easily purchased and inexpensive if you don't have one lying around. I don't know how sturdy it would be to carry around in a laptop case on a regular basis; I have not had an opportunity to take it with me anywhere. It is very lightweight as said before, so you probably don't want it smashing into books or a laptop in a bag. I got mine primarily for home use, so I personally don't think that will be much of an issue for me, but it is definitely something to keep in mind. What else? It's a great bargain and a nice product. So far I am very happy with it! I recommend it.

The LITENERGY Light Pad does exactly what I wanted - it provides a clear, even, bright white light for viewing negatives. It also works well for tracing - I could see the image printed on one sheet of printer paper though a second sheet - this is regular thickness paper, not onion-skin or tracing paper. It's simple to use - plug one end of the cable into the Light Pad, and the other end into a USB power source. NOTE - the power source is NOT included. But any USB wall plug, power adapter, power bank, or USB computer port will work. The controls are simple. There's only one. The single button functions as an on/off switch - just tap - and a dimmer - press and hold. When it arrived I was worried about how little padding it had - but it was in perfect shape...possibly just luck. Check the package carefully when it arrives. Recommended

I’ve never written a review before but I felt like I needed to for this. It’s really easy to use, the lighting is very bright & easily adjustable, very light weight - not bulky at all and inexpensive for such a good product. Its made a world of difference using it for sketching - Makes it easy to see even minute details in your work. Bright enough to shine through card stock. The only flaw is that it has to be plugged in to use so you are slightly limited but I just plug it into my laptop and I can pretty much use it anywhere.

Love this so far. I use it to trace my dirty sketches, done on crap paper, into my good sketchbooks on good paper for smudgefree paper and cleaner looking works. This thing is super thin, and very light weight. Yes it plugs micro USB to a USB port for power. What you plug the cable into is up to you, wall adapter, computer, USB power pack (the rechargeable ones that people use for on the go phone charging). I did experience one downside with mine, thus the four star review. The usb cable get stuck in the port, and when i pulled the cord out the usb port came with it. I do have a replacement coming already with the broken one being returned, I'm hopeful on the replacement and its port being a bit better because I was very satisfied with the work I was getting out of it.

I love this product! It is really light and thin, so stores easily and is really easy to work with! It is a nice evenly bright surface all over the light space. Has nice little grippers on the back to keep it from sliding. I would not recommend using the cable it comes with unless its handy to plug in. I have an extra long cable that works well for me to sit comfortably at my desk and have the light board where I want to place it (without needing to adhere to a certain place where a plug is handy). Also, this way I am not forced to have the power button in a certain position to plug in. I'm right-handed and so when the power button was in the lower right, I would find that I would accidentally tough it while drawing and it would turn off/dim. Annoying. Much better to keep it in the upper left (again, for right handed) and I avoid that issue. Also, the brightness. I was able to see clearly through 300 gsm watercolor paper, even using 2 sheets of Rhodia paper under (so a total of 3 layers). Same for tracing onto Bristol paper. I would definitely recommend this product!! Note, there are other versions that come in the same packaging but are slightly different. For example, I tried another with exactly the same specs, but a different price (a lightning deal), and it had a rough backing (instead of smooth), and was not uniformly bright all throughout the workspace. This could be the specific unit I was sent, but I'm very happy with the model I ended up with!

I’ve had this light box for a few years. It still works! It hasn’t broken in any way or failed.

I like how light weight the light-box is and it's the perfect size for what I need. My reason for only a 2 stars is due to a problem while using it: 1 - within 30 mins of using the light-box, on it's own and very frequently, the light will all of a sudden dim to the lowest setting. Sometimes every few minutes, sometimes seconds of readjusting. 2- I have turn off the light-box, leave plugged in only to return and it will be on the highest brightness. It is VERY frustrating to stop what I am doing because I have to adjust the brightness again, Again, and AGAIN...

Way brighter than I thought! Works great for my diamond paintings. The only downside is that when I purchased it I thought it was chargeable/cordless. But it needs to be plugged in. Totally my fault for not reading the description. Im a happy customer nonetheless

My daughter loves using the A4 portable LED light box. It’s great for flip book. Light is really bright.

Works great! Nice and bright and feels sturdy yet light. Came with a good long usb cord which is used to power it. ("Box" doesn't charge). Had fun tracing some colouring book pages. Can't wait to use it for weeding my Cricut projects! (Other recommendations mentioned this brand is great for that purpose.)

My first light box ever. I’m pleased with the thin profile and light weight. The light itself is even over the entire surface. I use it to see the guidelines for calligraphy and wish I’d bought it long ago.
