Excellent product so far!
I just received this today, so I haven't had time to put it through its paces yet, but I am very pleased with it so far. It is very easy to use. It's extremely lightweight, and it's very thin, making it perfect to rest on my lap and easy to store away when not in use. I got it to use as a light box for reviewing my film negatives, and it works beautifully for that purpose. It must be plugged in to use it. To turn the light off, simply give the power button a quick tap, and do the same to turn the light on. To brighten or dim the light, simply touch and hold the power button until the light is at the desired brightness. The light is very consistent and even over the surface of the board, and it does not cause any glare in my eyes, which is important, as I have some sensitivity to that, which can be quite bothersome in certain types of light. The power cord could stand to be a little longer, but if using on a desk that has an outlet nearby you shouldn't have an issue. Keep in mind that it only comes with the usb cord, not the power adapter plug for the outlet, so make sure to have one of those handy. Those are easily purchased and inexpensive if you don't have one lying around.I don't know how sturdy it would be to carry around in a laptop case on a regular basis; I have not had an opportunity to take it with me anywhere. It is very lightweight as said before, so you probably don't want it smashing into books or a laptop in a bag. I got mine primarily for home use, so I personally don't think that will be much of an issue for me, but it is definitely something to keep in mind. What else? It's a great bargain and a nice product. So far I am very happy with it! I recommend it.

Just what I needed at a very good price
I think my title says it all. It's been plenty brigh to trace fabric & fusibles for applique. I like that the brightness level is adjustable. Nothing complicated here: good size, easily portable, reasonably inexpensive, and delivered quickly to my door -- what's not to like? :)ETA: I took this with me to a quilting class yesterday and it worked like a charm -- now other classmates are wanting one. Also, I didn't need to bring along my computer to plug it in; the USB cord worked great in one of those little cube shaped USB wall adapters (plus, I also discovered that the light box cord will also fit my old Samsung Galaxy 7, to charge it in a pinch!) I'm even more delighted than ever with this product, and I'm considering upgrading at some point to the next size up (A3?), which even comes with a self-healing cutting mat -- that would be a real game-changer for my crafting!

Simple and effective
The LITENERGY Light Pad does exactly what I wanted - it provides a clear, even, bright white light for viewing negatives. It also works well for tracing - I could see the image printed on one sheet of printer paper though a second sheet - this is regular thickness paper, not onion-skin or tracing paper. It's simple to use - plug one end of the cable into the Light Pad, and the other end into a USB power source. NOTE - the power source is NOT included. But any USB wall plug, power adapter, power bank, or USB computer port will work. The controls are simple. There's only one. The single button functions as an on/off switch - just tap - and a dimmer - press and hold. When it arrived I was worried about how little padding it had - but it was in perfect shape...possibly just luck. Check the package carefully when it arrives.Recommended

Does the job - great value
Got this to sort through old Kodachrome slides (some now almost 50 years old - amazing that the colors are still vivid!) for possible digitization. The panel is very thin. The screen is bright with with no apparent off-white tint, so the colors in the slides (under magnification) look pretty true. Since there's no frame around the screen, you're on your own to use it with slides on an angle (the slides slide). But lack of a frame is probably a plus for doing tracings with paper larger than A4 where a frame would make it hard for the media to remain flat. Overall, an amazing value.

Great for viewing slides
My trusty old Logan light box got banged and broke. Rather than spend a lot to replace it I decided to try one of the LED tracing boxes I see promoted so much on Amazon. Got one for $15.00, but it had clear glass (plastic) and the LED array was visible in every detail. Terrible for viewing slides, so I returned it. But this one is definitely a keeper! The glass is translucent white, and I cannot see the individual LEDs at all, even at maximum brightness. The color is a little cooler than optimum, but for details like that I can view the image after scanning and make adjustments on the computer. This light box is quite bright and has a stepless dimmer. It's thin, lightweight, and very easy to use. Slides and negs are very easy to view on it. The light is consistent and evenly distributed. So for a few dollars more I have a useful light box that cost a fraction of one of the big clunkers designed for slide viewing. Can't say how long it will last, but it looks durable enough. Plugs into the USB on the computer, and I think, but am not sure, that it will work with my phone charger. I am so happy with this unit that I included review photos for the first time ever. The first two are with the unit turned on. The light is actually a little brighter, but I used fill flash to make the photos. The third photo is with the unit turned off. The light box did not come with a stand or legs, which would have been a nice touch. And for slide viewing, a slip-on lip for the bottom edge would be useful to stop the slides from sliding off if the box is tilted. But those are minor points. I am very happy with this product. Providing it lasts for a pretty long time, it's a great deal. I definitely recommend it for viewing slides and negs.
