I installed this Govee Smart Ceiling Light in my 12-year-old daughter’s bedroom, along with four other Govee smart bulbs in her recessed lights, and the result looks great. The light is bright and even, which makes the room feel much bigger and more welcoming. The best part is the color range. She loves switching from warm white for reading to soft pink or blue when she is relaxing or listening to music. It pairs easily with the Govee app and Alexa, so she can change the lighting on her own without needing help. The Govee app also allows her to select scenes, for example a sunset/sunrise or a cool animated rainbow effect. Installation was simple once the mounting plate was up, and it blends nicely with the ceiling. The only downside is that it does not work with wall dimmers, but the app control makes up for it. A bit expensive but highly recommended nonetheless. Govee is getting better and better.

I installed the Govee Smart Ceiling Light recently and it honestly exceeded my expectations. The brightness is excellent and it lights up the entire room evenly without any dark spots. I also really like that you can adjust the color temperature from warm to cool depending on the mood or time of day. The RGB ambient ring is a nice touch and adds a subtle glow to the ceiling that makes the room feel more modern. Through the app you can change colors, adjust brightness, set schedules, and even use preset scenes, which is very convenient. Installation was straightforward if you’ve replaced a ceiling light before. The design is simple and clean, so it blends well with most rooms. Overall, it’s a great smart ceiling light that combines strong everyday lighting with fun customization options.

Put up two of these in our closets. Easy install. Easy config. Works great with Alexa. Very bright and good colors and scenes that are easy on the eyes. Would buy again.

I have several Govee Lighting products in my studio, and the new upgraded Smart Ceiling Light is just what I needed. I had the previous ceiling light, which was okay, but did not have the color options, scenes or features that I love in the other products. The new Pro model is MUCH bigger, brighter and looks amazing in my studio paired with two Smart RGBIC Table Lamp 2, and a Glide RGBIC Wall Light. Setting it up in the app is very straightforward, and I was quickly able to add it to scenes and groups, and configure it to control all lights together with Alexa. I can now have matching colors and patterns for work, relaxation or music-matched for when I'm creating or playing in the studio.

I debated on giving these lights 3/5 stars due to reliability. I ordered 5 and had to replace 3 of them due to problems. 2 of them had an annoying buzzing sound when turned off via the wifi/app. The 3rd just straight up broke after a day. However, once they get going, I love them. The lights are amazing once I got past those problems. Getting replacements was also very easy. Since I enjoy the lights as much as I do, that's why I give them 4/5. If it weren't for the quality issues, it would be a 5/5. I would recommend getting these lights, especially if you have smart speakers where you can turn them on via your voice. I can't change the themes through my Google speaker, and I have to use the Govee App, but I can still use the Google speaker to change the Kelvin and brightness. The lights are very bright, and the themes are a lot of fun. This week, Govee introduced a change to the theme,s where you can customize them, whereas weeks prior, you were unable to. I appreciate the customization that they are introducing.

Perfect ceiling light in center of room and very bright when I want it to be for tasks etc. Realky sets mood with color options. I use it with Alexa so I am able to dim it or turn it off without turning off other lights in the room. Works flawlessly with Alexa from the very beginning and never a hiccup since. Couldn’t be happier.

Thank you Govee! I had smart lights installed with smart life app. They constantly disconnected and it wasn't easy to get them back online. Switched to Govee and it was night and day. Linking to app was easy and to date they haven't jumped off or needed any reset. Light is super bright and they have a limitless number of lighting options!

Works great, very bright but is infinitely adjustable. 15% intensity is enough with white light for an average room but can adequately light a much larger space. The colors are great and are adjustable through their app or your smart home system. Includes nice wire connectors or wire nuts. Install was relatively easy with included backing plate and connecting to existing wiring. Modern, simple, clean look. Very happy with them (bought two).

I’ll be honest—like a lot of people, Govee has slowly taken over my place. So when my wife and I saw they had a chandelier-style LED that ties into the app and syncs with everything else, it was a no-brainer. We ordered it right away. First off, the light itself is great. It’s super bright, very customizable, and the install is pretty straightforward. The effects are actually where this thing shines—you’re not stuck with one colour, you can run patterns, mix tones, and really dial in the vibe. It genuinely upgrades the look of the space. That said, there are a couple things worth pointing out. The biggest one is during install—there’s no support wire or hook to hold the fixture while you’re connecting everything. I get that modern LED fixtures don’t really need a traditional ground wire setup like older ones, but having nothing to temporarily hang it from while wiring live and neutral is just… annoying. You basically need a second set of hands or you’re juggling it mid-air. The other downside is in the app. Surprisingly, this doesn’t fully integrate with all Govee products. For example, I can’t group it with my Govee bulbs under one control, which feels like an easy win they missed. It’s not a dealbreaker, but it’s definitely a gap. Overall though, it’s still a strong product. Govee just makes stuff that’s easy to use, looks great, and works reliably. My condo looks better because of it, and the control through the app is simple and smooth. Honestly, it’s getting harder to justify going with any other lighting brand at this point.

After getting one of these for our rumpus room, we ended up getting a second for our basement: we don't even really need the RGB and smarts down there tbh, we were just so impressed by how crazy bright this gets and the cute little halo around it that adds subtle character. The govee app really took awhile to warm up to me. I still think it looks and feels kinda janky compared to Hue... but the thing is, govee has always been rock solid in my use and I've never ran into any problems with it unlike my Hue ones. As a smart light, I like that it handles disconnects well. When the wall outlet switches off, it retains its setting and will use the same settings when I power it back on. No waiting, no lag, no glitch... which is something the Hue this replaced in the basement really struggled with. The selection of white color tones is excellent. A almost limitless number of options. I was able to match the basement pot lights exactly. And I've been very happy with the connectivity. I run an ecclatic mix of Google Home, Smartthings and Home Asssistant and have bee able to get these integrated and working well with automations. Would absolutely recommend these.

I use Govee lights in both my kitchen and bedroom and they’ve become part of my daily routine. The timed lighting works like a gentle alarm to help me wake up in the morning, which feels much better than a sudden phone alarm. The color control is also great throughout the day. I use brighter tones in the morning and warmer colors as bedtime approaches. It’s simple to set up and makes the space feel much more comfortable and intentional.

The output of this light is significant at 100% in the white modes. The colour modes are very bright too. Works well with the Govee app; installation and setup was a breeze, especially with the included lever-lock style connectors (wago-style). A++.
