For more than a dozen years of our marriage, my husband has snored. Loudly. Not loud enough to rattle the dishes in the kitchen cabinet, but enough to keep waking me ALL night long, most nights.Ear plugs help, as does a white noise box, but the noise still wakes me, regularly. So, I often opt for the guest bedroom when he's extra loud, or I simply need a night of uninterrupted sleep.We bought this Eco Living Friendly mattress case a week ago, because my husband commented that he wasn't sleeping soundly since our recent move.I'm not sure why I decided to try an allergy-related solution. Our mattress was relatively new, but it had been in storage (in a thin, soft plastic case) for a few months, while we were house-hunting in a new area.My husband was sure the problem wasn't the mattress. After all, he's always snored, and -- during our marriage -- we've owned at least three different mattresses.I wasn't so sure. Our first mattress was one he'd bought around the time he met me. Another mattress had been a floor model, but looked (and felt) like new. Another one was supposed to be new (and it was still wrapped in plastic), but it had come from a mattress outlet. So, I couldn't be sure any of our mattresses had been truly pristine.Starting the night we put this ELF case on our queen-sized bed, the change has been dramatic.During the past seven nights, with no other changes, he's slept SNORE-FREE for five nights. During the other two nights, he snored gently and quietly for about two minutes. The rest of the night, he didn't snore at all.At first, this scared me so much, I kept checking to be sure he was still breathing. (Except for one night in a hotel -- on the road during a vacation in 2008 -- he has always snored. The fact that I recall that I so clearly recall that one night should give you an idea how unusual the past week has been.)The ELF case fit our queen-sized mattress very nicely, with room to spare. We had no problem with the seams or the zipper. It's probably best to take the mattress off the bed, and for two people to work together to put the case on the mattress, but it's not a difficult task. And, while the weave of the fabric is extremely dense, it's not rubberized and it seems to breathe just fine. We haven't noticed any change in the comfort of the mattress.After all these years -- and multiple failed attempts to resolve my husband's snoring -- this is amazing. I wish we'd tried this long ago.If your partner snores, this is a solution worth trying.

I recently purchased the mattress protector. Before opening the bag in the instructions it advices to make sure we had the correct size and mentioned all the available sizes. The smallest available was not in stock in Amazon, but I contacted the seller and they agreed to replace the one I purchased for the size that worked better for us. Customer service replied to my questions quickly. I shipped it directly to their shipping building. and the replacement came immediately.I’m giving a five star because I’ve used this product on another mattress in the house, and I’m assuming it continues to be the same quality.

I recently purchased for the 2nd time. (The 1st cover is still fine but I was careless when washing and it doesn't look great - darker & lint-y.) Eco cover feels weird out of the package but gets very soft, like a medium weight flannel fabric when washed. Not hot ( "sweaty") to sleep on.Sorry, I don't know how it fits a crib mattress.I use it to cover a Medslant folding wedge pillow when I travel, so that I don't pick up bed bugs at hotels and bring them home. It is a comfortably generous fit, a little long - but this makes it easy to put on and take off. The cover can be pulled smooth over the unfolded pillow and the extra length tucked under one end and it can be loosened for easy folding for travel.)The photos do not show construction well. There is an extra small (1.5-2"?) fabric panel, on the inside, behind the zipper-pull end when closed (just at the end...or beginning) as an extra barrier to bedbugs. Bedbugs may still be able to get in or out at this location, but it is an extra barrier and not a visible gap as many zippers have at the "top". (I hope that description is clear.)

I like to sleep on a soft soft mattress. I think of myself as the princess and the pea when I'm looking for mattresses. I had a pretty soft mattress, but after 6 years of ownership, I noticed I was getting bites. I started going to bed ready for battle, fully clothed from head to toe so there would be no exposed skin. I never saw a single bed bug and I looked, but these bites had to be coming from somewhere. I did this because I didn't have the money to buy a new mattress. However, a friend told me about this cover. I put on this cover and the first time I laid down I noticed the spring in my mattress top had been flattened by the tight cover. I mourned the loss of my soft mattress, but was overjoyed to wake up bite free even without my armor. I'm going to wait a few months and see if I can take it off so the softness of my mattress can return. Hopefully whatever was biting me will have died by then.

I didn’t wash it prior to use like is recommended out of hurry to use. It may soften if done. Not sure if needed to offer full protection as could shrink a bit as well. Found it easy to put over 10in mattress with 2in topper with just one person. Feels soft enough but also robust and would likely be more fabric like than solid if washed. Very happy.

I love this mattress protector. The bottom and sides are plastic feeling while the top is more smooth like a bed sheet. My daughter’s allergies have definitely improved. I ended up going back to buy a pillow case as well. The mattress cover appears to be waterproof. My toddler daughter had an accident while sleeping and it pooled together on top of the cover. I will say that after having to remove the mattress cover in the middle of the night, I went out and bought a reusable pad in the event of any future accidents. The cover is not like a fitted sheet. Since it zips around and covers the mattress completely, you need to remove the mattress off the bed to remove and put the cover back on. This cover encases the whole mattress. Having to do it while wet and in the middle of the night was a pain. So if you plan to use for a child who is going through potty training, a mattress pad for the top would be great to save yourself some hassle.
