Booda PETMATE 291480 Hedgehog Soft Bite Toy for Pets, Large, Brown

I've had many of these hedgehogs over the years. For some reason they have been the favorite stuffed squeaky toy for all 4 of my dogs! The newer hedgehogs are much less durable though. The squeaker didn't work at all when I received my last one and the one before that only lasted about a month. They're not cheap so it's disappointing but my dogs love them so much I'll probably keep taking chances.

My lab ripped it apart in one hour and chewed off one leg already. But he LOVES hedgehogs and he loved, loved this toy. He wouldn't let go of it till he worked it apart. When he's happy, I am happy! :-)It does have life like colors, and almost real feel fur. It's not as nice as the ones that are priced much higher, but it's a decent one for a more reasonable price, and they all get chewed up eventually, some just take longer than others. My Lab does not like the bright colored toys, he avoids the pinks and bright neons and goes for the real feel brown and gray ones so this one he liked.It's 2 stars in terms of durability, but 4 stars for price vs. product and an afternoon of dog play.

I debated in rather I wS going to buy this toy or not, but the reviews were good so I decided to give it a try for my 11 year old Airedale Terrier. Boy am I happy that I did. She loves the grunting noise that it makes way more than the standard squeak of regular dog toys. I have a pig that is rubbery for her and it makes almost the same noise and she loves that one too. She even sleeps with this one sometimes. My seven year old son plays with her and pulls it a lot while she has it in her mouth and it is holding up great. We've had it for over a month now and there are no tears, holes or rips. While she is not a super aggressive dog, she has been known to destroy toys within days when she puts her death grip on them and you try to pull it out!!! No worries so far.We are extremely happy with the purchase and my doggy adores it so win-win!

Quality is good. My dog is pretty gentle with her toys so I can’t speak to the avid gutter of stuffed toys. The grunter takes a lot of squeezing to work and even then it doesn’t work well. My dog isn’t into this toy as much for that reason. She still carries it around and nibbles on the nose when she can’t find her other “hedgie” but clearly prefers the louder grunting toy when it is available.

This toy is great. It does not have legs, which were a weakness my chow/golden retriever mix exploited on a previous hedgehog. The noise is great, but enough has been written about how much better the honk/grunt is than squeakers.This toy is not for a destructive dog. It was the fifth hedgehog we've tried with our chowtriever and it lasted almost an hour. The lack of legs helped but the nose got chewed off. She then proceeded to try and extract the squeaker and stuffing through there. It is not made of anything stronger than normal fabric.I love these toys and want to give it a better review but just can't until they make them more durable.

I don't know what it is about the hedgehog, but my dog loves this. She has to have one at all times. I keep two in the garage so that when she destroys one I can pull another one out. If I keep sewing the toy up when she rips it, they will last her about 6 months each. It is the perfect size for her mouth, she likes to lay around with the hedgehog and make it grunt over and over again.

Grunting toys have always been favs. Just wish i was a little more durable. Was gutted the first night. But she still carries the "skin" around so it still brings her joy

My dog has a weird aversion to squeaks but she loves stuffed toys. This has been great for her! The grunt noise maker provides an extra level of entertainment without the ear piercing squeak of most dog toys.She also really responds to the dense fur of the hedgehog. It's her go to doll to snuggle.

Nice little toy which grunts and not squeaks my dog will love playing with this on Christmas day. Need more dog toys that make other noises apart from squeaking unless I have the online Labrador who isn't very keen on squeaky toys.

I bought these for my dog because they looked like the ones sold by "Pets at Home", but the toys I received looked nothing like the picture, even the manufacturers label is different.
