I had to replace a Fill Valve and Flapper in one of our toilet cisterns. I knew from experience that emptying the tank is important, but it takes more than shutting off the water and draining it. Large, absorbent sponges are important tools for this type of job, and the sponges were ideal! However, note that they arrive from Amazon in an almost flat package. I was expecting the sponges to arrive, but when it turned up, I couldn't believe it contained 2 large sponges. But it did – it just took them a few minutes outside the packaging to grow to their normal size!

Cute, soft and squishy and a nice golden yellow color, sadly this sponge left a heavy trail of water as I wiped off the kitchen counter--the opposite of what I needed the sponge to do. Wringing out all of the water did not improve its performance. It was not absorbent enough for the task so I threw it away.
