Good quality banana plugs
I have these for over a year and a half now and have no complaints at all. They came packaged well and are pretty easy to assemble. I used mine with 12 gauge wire and these have plenty of room to go bigger if desired. So far, no discoloration. They seem to hold up pretty well but it is not like I plug and unplug them frequently. I'm pretty happy with my purchase of the KabelDirekt – Banana Plugs – 10 Pairs (for Speaker Wire, AWG 10-16, Allow Flexible Connection to Speakers, amplifiers, A/V receivers, Power amplifiers & Stereo Systems, Fixing Screws, Gold Plated). The only thing I would wish for to make this a better buy for me is a lower price.

Good Banana Plugs - Accepts 8-Gauge
These are excellent. They will accept 8-gauge wire, but just barely. I would buy these again.

Set Screw Threads Not Machined Well
Seem to be well made and solid. How ever some of the set screw holes are nor machined very well Hard to tighten down or back out. Also had to squeeze the prongs with pliers to get them to insert into my Polk speakers and Denon receiver. Would have been 5 star except for these two problems.

My "go to" connectors - Great customer service
First time order: I like these banana plugs. They are well made and solid. I even received one extra screw. The only issue I had is that one of them would not accept the screws. On inspection, the holes were not threaded on just this one. Otherwise a 5 star product.Update: 5 stars for sure! The manufacturer is very quick to respond and totally satisfied my issue with the one un-tapped plug. I've continued to buy more of these and will do so in the future.Subsequent orders: In all of my orders after that first one, the screws are pre-installed so they've eliminated the risk of an untapped hole escaping. What really sets these apart for me is that they accept larger gauge wire than competitors and the set screws (grub screws) have better more consistent slotting - important since the torque to ensure good contact with the wire can be hard to achieve with shallow-slotted screws I've seen on some competitor's plugs. Additionally - the decorative polarity coding ring doesn't interfere with the screws - important when using heavy gauge cable. (some competitors require their screws to be flush with the body in order for their decorative sleeve to work which limits the wire thickness to somewhat less than the id of the connector)Photo is an example of a bi-wire cable I made using these KabelDirekt banana plugs & techflex, on some old Tara Labs prism 2+2 I had laying around.

Great product but...
The banana plugs are good quality and easy to use. I paired the banana plugs with KnuKonceptz Kord 10AWG speaker wire. This plug does not fit this 10awg speaker wire with the jacket deep inside the plug. I had to fit the wire in with only a tiny bit of jacket inside the plug. Still a very clean install, but I had to strip an inch and a quarter to fit. Not the banana plugs fault, the speaker wire I chose is very high quality pure oxygen free copper with a nice thick jacket. At this price there is other options with different kinds of installation styles. The other banana plug that supports 10awg speaker wire is Sewell deadbolt. If you have 12awg speaker wire monoprice banana plugs will work. From my research monoprice closed type fits 12awg max. I'm not sure about the monoprice open screw type.

Strong Hold & Well Made 3 Set Purchased
The media could not be loaded. This is my third pack of this brand of Banana Plugs. They hold extremely well, the screws don’t strip and the flower head is super tight fit. Well made and work great on every brand of speakers I have and fit nicely on my Yamaha Amp

Good posts, screws break if you look at them wrong.
Professional Recording studio installation. The binding posts are solid, well-made, and the banana-post is an optimal blend of flex vs. rigidity. However, the screws that hold the wires in place - the screw head tears with minimal force. These kind of posts need an airtight seal. Attempting a moderate tightening destroys the product. The good news: there are two screw posts holes, so maybe that will hold. We'll see. If the screws were better made this would be a 5+ star product. The second photo shows how far plugs insert into the speaker. (mm ruler next to post for scale) The first photo shows full insertion at the power amp side. Hope this helps.

Your search for quality speaker wire terminations ends here.
I used these with 12 ga Monster Cable speaker wire. As long as you have a pair of vise grips and a small flat-blade screwdriver, you will be good to go. I pulled the wire out of the insulation about an inch and used the vise grips to hold the wire while I fed it into the connector.1. Make sure that you back out the clamping screws until no male threads are seen in the connector.2. Twist the connector in the same direction as the speaker wire is twisted and push the speaker wire fully into the connector.3. Tighten the clamping screw closest to the plug first and make sure that the wire is being firmly held in the connector.4. Tighten the second clamping screw and then, in the case of Monster cable with its fairly slippery insulation, remove the vice grips and allow the insulation expand and seat against the connector. The connectors are much tighter than those of any other "banana plugs" I have used which ensures that you have a good connection to your amplifier and/or speakers.
