Why so expensive? These are literally $1.75 at Walmart.

There is no apparent reason why this is over twice as expensive as the Walmart retail price (currently Walmart is $3.36 for same quantity as Amazon's $8.70). Walmart has free delivery w/ both minimum order thresholds and Walmart Plus. There's no value-added justifying Amazon's extreme mark-up. Just a shameful money grab. Save a lot of money by ordering from Walmart.

A royal ripoff. Why so much?

Almost $5 of the price is the fees that have to be paid to Amazon for shipping cost, packaging and to pay the warehouse employee to pick the item. Not to mention cost of goods and shipping to the Amazon warehouse. These are the fees a seller pays to be able offer you the customer 2 day shipping direct to you door.
