Great Value for the combo : drone + GameSir Contoller + Xtra Battery + VR Goggles
I bought this for my 9 yo son and it was much easier to fly than his previous drones. He comes straight home from school to the drone! The one touch ‘launch/descend’ button was a plus— made navigating easier avoiding frustrating crashes for beginners (so far with this drone, no crashes) The combo pack was well worth the value— the game controller worked great w the iPhone 8; but also we found controlling with 12” iPad Pro was better on screen than using the game controller. I guess it’s preference but the GameSir T1 game controller was an added plus for those who already are using home game systems and easy to control & connect. Great quality controller. The VR goggles my son loved but it was ok quality. As for the additional battery— I liked that it was the original DJI battery, but the one in the drone appeared to not be (it was a different manufacturer- it seemed to get hotter) it would be nice if both were. The reason I chose the Ryze Tello (see Apple website for Drone) over the others for my son was for him to use Scratch. Fun + Coding = Great Tool! Overall , happy with the purchase and would recommend for the price .

GREAT DEAL WITH ONE CAVEAT
This is a great bargain if you are looking for a Tello and also a controller to use with joysticks. This package comes with the Gamesir T1....but nowhere can I find a suffix for which one this is. It is closest to the excellent T1S, but it does not have a wifi/BT dongle (which I don't need anyway). The Tello is a great drone, especially for the beginner. Not nearly as dangerous as one with brushless motors and the battery lasts around 12 minutes. Plus, in addition to OEM parts, there are a lot of third party parts available at greatly reduced prices. Example, propellers (props). I use the inexpensive ones ($9 for 28). Although they are more brittle and break easier, they are great to learn on or just to fly wrecklessly. There are many options in the less than $100 category that are significantly cheaper, but IMHO the features of the Tello justify the extra cost. The Gamesir is an excellent controller. Unlike the T1D which can only be used with the Tello, this one can be used with almost anything. The Tello can link with the Gamesir via either BT or an OTG cable if you are using an Android phone, but you will want to use an Android phone because the app TelloFPV which is a third party app that costs approx $5 and well worth it...but there is no iOS version. In addition to additional on-screen telemetry data, the TelloFPV app adds a Return to Home function which is very handy. The other reason to use the TelloFPV is that you eliminate the need to connect the Gamesir to your phone via Bluetooth (BT). WIFI and BT operate on nearby frequencies and interfere with each other. BT also adds a delay to your joysticks. Do yourself a favor and get an OTG cable. However, for the Gamesir to work properly with your phone and the OTG cable, you must follow this startup sequence:1. With the OTG cable disconnected, turn on the Gamesir by fist pressing the X button and then the power button (also referred to as the Home button). This will put your Gamesir in PC mode - if you open the phone holder, a little blue LED will be lit up (fourth LED from the left). THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT!2. Make sure BT is turned off on your phone and connect the Gamesir to your Android phone with the OTG cable.3. Turn on Tello and connect your phone to it via WIFI.4. Start TelloFPV app on your phone.5. Select XBOX 360 as you controller. You can do this via the Settings app in TelloFPV (Settngs-->Controller) or by pressing the gamepad icon in the bottom right corner on the app.6. Press the Takeoff button on the app. Unfortunately, R2 + Y does not launch the quad. You now have joystick control on your Gamesir. Not only will you have longer range, but you will have much better video downloads from the Tello which are saved on your phone.

Nothing about this works.
The "VR" feature is just a cheap plastic headset that is supposed to hold your phone. Except, when you turn on the VR feature it doesn't actually align with the headset. The drone itself never flew. It might have been defective, but even after updating the software, calibrating and charging overnight, the drone would startup and then immediately stop and overheat. Finally, as if that wasn't enough the controller, which is just a bluetooth paired x-box-style controller that is supposed to pair to your phone doesn't actually control the app that controls the drone.Overall this product is a huge waste of time and money.

Great Drone
I just got this drone yesterday and took this picture this morning, the camera is pretty good but most of the pictures needed to be edited to straighten them out because the drone gets a bit wobbly. There is a youtube video to set up the remote with the drone but the VR headset does not work with it at all, I am disappointed with that because I thought A VR flight experience would be really cool. I really don’t like that fact that it lost connection the other day and I almost got it stuck in my neighbors pool! Other than that it is responsive and very fun.

Amazing control and image quality for this little quad!
This is a bargain, and has some impressive abilities for a small & inexpensive quadcopter. I had one inexpensive drone before, and it wasn't bad, but that one was not FPV (visual flying only) and didn't have nearly the control. You can fly this around inside your house without a problem. You can toss it in the air and it just hovers in place. I've found it's difficult to avoid running into things on the sides when using only FPV due to limited field of view and there's (understandably) no avoidance system other than objects below, but that's part of the challenge I suppose. The package with controller, VR goggles, and battery is nice. All I need now is (at least) one more battery and a multi-battery charger. Note that the drone itself is the only included charger, which is not very convenient. Seems to survive crashes quite well, which has been a good thing for me! I've had to bend the guard back in place sometimes, but I'm still on the first set of props!
