Premium quality at a premium cost
UPDATE: After reading a negative review or two. First, I am a regular customer. I have no stake in this company or their tissue. I am reviewing this item, as a REAL PERSON with NORMAL (not unrealistic) expectations. It only takes 1 or 2 people with extraordinarily high (aka unrealistic) expectations to whine about a product or service and that taints what "could be" a useful item for others, who have more grounded (realistic) expectations,This black toilet paper definitely gives a pop of “ooh la-la”!It’s a soft, multi-ply tissue, as stated. It has a black, tone on tone, leaf/paisley print on it.It is solid black, not transparent/thin.It functions as you’d expect. It also comes at an added cost. This is a NOVELTY item. This is NOT intended to be a “value” purchase. Now, if you’re seriously considering this toilet paper, one can only assume you understand that you pay for upgrades or added features. You don’t go to a Rolls Royce dealership, for example, to do price comparisons and/or complain about the prices. You go there knowing that it is a luxury dealership and with the expectation that there is an upcharge associated with the brand. As far as comparisons to "Charmin, Cottonelle, or Quilted Northern" this is NEITHER of those brands nor does it claim to be. For one, you must you appreciate it for what it is, not for what YOUR expectations of what it SHOULD BE are. If you know that you want the qualities of "Charmin, Cottonelle, or Quilted Northern", then you should certainly purchase those brands. I have found this to be a decorative option for those of us who want something different. It's something you buy for looks & novelty not longevity. It's not uncomfortable or hard like restaurant tissue by any means. Besides, at the cost, you probably won't use it on a regular basis, as to be concerned with it being blanket soft. It is a decorative novelty item, people. It's not for continuous, day to day use. I'm sure that if you are willing to pay $50 per roll (or something really ridiculous like that) for a cushy, soft black tissue, there is someone willing to sell you that "swamp real estate." When you buy things online, sight unseen, from a brand that is not well known, there’s a 50/50 chance that you will either like it or you won't. Because YOU don't like it doesn't mean that other people are writing bad reviews. It means that YOU (1 person) doesn't like it, and that's okay. Everything is not for everybody. What you expect may not be what the manufacturer intended when they made an item. It's all subjective. So there you have it. As long as your expectations are in order, you shouldn’t be disappointed with this purchase. It looks amazing, in the right setting.

The only toilet paper left in the country
I bought three packages of this toilet paper back on March 13th just as the great toilet paper crisis of 2020 began. It was the only toilet paper anywhere. That’s the only reason I’d ever spend this amount of money on mediocre toilet paper.Cons:- rolls are fairly small- toilet papers in public bathroom stalls are softer- it’s unnecessarily expensivePros:- the scent was a bit strange at first (why does toilet paper need a scent?) I was worried about it irritating me down there, but thankfully, so far so good.Regardless, I’m giving this 4 stars because during this Coronavirus pandemic, I’m grateful for this toilet paper ever being made. I’m even grateful that it’s incredibly expensive because at least people didn’t buy it out right away.

conversation starter!
I just remodeled my bath and it's black and gold. This toilet paper is the icing on the proverbial cake...the first thing people notice is this tp!! Some people laugh and immediately ask where I got it. So fun and a nice weight to it too

Looks good but not really a good value
I bought this for a powder bath so that it would match the color scheme... for that, it totally did the job. The paper isn't too soft and the rolls are pretty small for the amount charged... If you are buying it for looks, then it's OK but if you're buying it for regular use, then I can't say it's worth it.

Goth Life 🖤
Black is my favorite color , so I get everything I can in black and of course my toilet paper had to be too and it definitely brings out my Marilyn Monroe bathroom decor . Expensive but so worth it .

Avoid This Paper
I never leave reviews but this toilet paper is bad enough to warrant it.Style - This is expected to be a chic black toilet paper. What you’ll get is toilet paper embossed with a pattern of water droplets with a circle around it. Why? who knows!Softness - If you’ve never used modern toilet papers like Charmin, Cotonelle, or Quilted Northern this toilet paper will probably remind you of a school bathroom from your childhood, or a drop ceilinged office you might have visited at some point in the past. As other reviewers have attested using this paper is a bit like rubbing your nethers with sandpaper.I had such high hopes conceptually for what black toilet paper could have offered in my life, yet i should have known better. I still wonder how products like this get generally positive reviews online? Is the whole system of a shared reality based on objective fact broken in this era of the internet?
