Multiplication Facts That Stick: Help Your Child Master the Multiplication Facts for Good in Just Ten Weeks

A great, no tears method for getting your child to master thier multiplication facts!
This book is very effective. I like the sequence the facts are learned. The games are all the same but changed by the facts for that week. This really makes it easier for the child since they already know how to play the game and just need to focus on the new set of facts. The repetition in recalling the facts gives the child opportunities for success and builds confidence, unlike drilling with flashcards. The weekly worksheets are also very effective.

Mastery through understanding!!
This is a great way to master the multiplication facts because 1) it increases understanding rather than straight memorization and 2) it's fun!! I did this program with my 6 and 8 year old kids. We homeschool and use Math Mammoth as our core curriculum. This program fits well with MM3A. My 6 year old (advanced in math) did very well with this, but sometimes I would have him do the worksheets verbally and wasn't as strict with him completing them as my older child. I would think this is typically completed around 3rd grade or 8 years old. The child should already understand the concept of multiplication prior to beginning this book.I recommend watching Kate Snow's YouTube video on this book for a thorough idea of what the book is like, but basically each day is structured as follows: quick intro on the week's facts by the parent and instruction 1 day/week, recite multiplication facts (usually done on the swing for my kids :) ), game to practice facts, and two sided worksheet.A couple of tips:- 3/4 inch Bingo chips work really well with the author's ten frames and matrix. You can buy a lot of them for cheap on Amazon.- I find Kate Snow's materials to be rather hands on by the parent. Which is great, but if you have preschoolers / toddlers, these lessons HAD to be done during nap time.- If the author provided the game boards and worksheets in pdf, that would save me a boatload of time. So, since that is not available, I carefully tore each page out on the perforation, scanned to my computer, saved the files by week, and stored the original paper in a separate binder. I printed the pages from the scanned version for each kid each week. Then I was left with a sorry looking, droopy paperback book with half the pages missing. It's a fine approach, but it would be a lot easier for the user to get a pdf with the purchase. Since we did not use the originals, I will be able to use this again with my younger kids.- I feel strongly that my children should memorize multiplication facts up to 12 as well as the x15 facts. I had my kids recite the facts up to x12 (rather than x10) each day.My kids have a very solid recall of the multiplication facts. Maybe not the recommended 3 - 5 seconds quite yet, but I think they will be there soon as they complete their core math program. I plan to do the Division Facts That Stick book, but it is possible I won't if the kids are able to recall those facts quickly without the program. We did Addition Facts That Stick, but not Subtraction Facts That Stick since my kids were easily able to use the addition facts to figure out the subtraction facts, so the book was not needed for us.

Easy to use.
I bought this for my child who just finished 3rd grade. She needs to work on her multiplication facts. I picked this because we loved MWC 1 for her younger brother. So far the book is going well! Works as expected! We'll finish it before she starts MWC 4 in September. I regret picking another math program for her for her 3rd grade year. I also purchased the pdf of the student pages directly from the Well Trained Mind. I prefer printing off my computer instead of ripping pages out.

Improve Perforations
Excellent book. The process works even for my dyslexic kiddo who struggles with math facts. The routine, games, continual reinforcement, and gentle method were effective. My only complaint comes with the perforated pages. They do not tear out cleanly. Their printer needs to do a better job with this part.

It works
My 4th grader was not interested in memorizing his tables, which was fine, but definitely slowed him down when doing more complicated math. I bought this due to the many recommendations and didn't have high hopes, but it helped a lot. The game ideas are fun and the practice sheets were quick to complete, but really helped to reinforce and build up skills.

Amazing highly recommend
I bought this for my son. I homeschool him. He has struggled with multiplication for a couple years. This book has helped him tremendously! He is actually liking math and loves the game base learning this book provides.

Learn multiplication facts in 10 weeks or less... for real!
I have been struggling to help my elementary daughter learn her multiplication facts. Every curriculum or gimmick we tried didn't cement the facts into her head... until this. Each week your child will learn a different times table, you'll play games with your student every day (DON'T SKIP THE GAMES!) and IT WORKS. I'm so thankful to have found this. Don't be fooled by the super weird covers, this series is great. About to order division facts that stick.

Excellent workbook for mastery of multiplication facts 1-10
I wish I had this book for my older kids when they were learning their multiplication facts! This workbook is a fun way to help children master their multiplication facts 1-10. My kids are always excited to work on it! My son just finished the workbook and has completely mastered his facts. My daughter is halfway through and completely master what she has learned so far. The workbook is set up to do five days a week. Everyday you play a game and do two multiplication worksheets plus some extra activities that are usually different each day. There are step by step directions each day for each lesson, which makes it easy for the parent. I would recommend this to everyone that is learning their multiplication. It's an excellent workbook!!I also wanted to comment on the person that said it was a teachers manual/edition. They obviously didn't look through the workbook. This is for the parent and child to work on together. This is not something you give to your child to do on their own. I noticed that review when I was looking at the workbook and wasn't sure if I should get it because of the review. My suggestion is to disregard it because it's not correct.
