How far does the wifi have to be ?

Hey There! The DW9 device does not need wifi to operate. The Receiver and the PIR Motion Sensor runs on FSK radio frequency technology, which can transmit signals 3 times longer than the ASK in traditional alarm systems. Once the PIR Sensor detect any heat movement, it will trigger the Receiver to chime. And the maximum distance between the Receiver and PIR Sensor is about 500ft in the open space. Does the dw9 have an alarm facility or just chime and how long does the alarm sound for?

The product does alarm...it depends on how you set it up initially. The time of the chime plus melody and volume is also an option in the initial set up. It does come with instructions...but they are VERY basic...so it can be trial and error...but it's not difficult or time consuming. Unfortunately I would not recommend this product, as after only using it for about a month it developed a fault. The chime and alarm kept sounding even when there was nothing to set it off. We tried resetting, etc....nothing worked so it ended up in the refuse bin!!.

My pir is setting the alarm off constantly, I’ve tried clean as suggested, does it need resetting and if so how ?
