Excellent Build and Design. Sounds spectacular.
I purchased a turntable bundle that came with a pair of desk top speakers. Was not satisfied with the "entry-level" speakers so I shopped around for a more serious pair. I was attracted to these speakers due to very positive reviews and demos. These speakers raised the listening level experience, really brings out the sound quality and clarity I was looking for, making me feel like the artist is right in front of me, performing live. Less than 60 or 50% volume is very clean but higher volume can make the bass struggle so I added the Klipsch R100-SW and what a game changer that is.The build quality is excellent and impressive. Quite a heavy speaker, a solid design. Installation is easy. Was appreciative of optical cable included so I was able to plug into the TV for better cinematic viewing. Also included bluetooth connection. Built-in amplifier makes these a more powerful pair without the addition of a receiver, less clutter. Used in the living room. Will need to purchase 30" speaker stands.I highly recommend these speakers. Manufactured in China.Other speaker brands considered: Audioengine, Edifier, JBL, Yamaha.

Incredible speakers for PC! (probably other stuff too)
Background:Originally I purchased a $30 soundbar for my gaming computer. Just something to hold me over until I could splurge on something better. It had high reviews and the only real complaint I had with it is the volume. Since it was powered by the USB port it was limited and my volume settings were 100% or off.I was researching speakers for gaming and these never came up, but a YouTuber video that rated some computer speakers had their top choice as Klipsch R-51M as his top choice, but they were not powered and needed an amp. The price of both those was the same as these, and still wouldn't get the blue-tooth support. After many more hours of research I couldn't find anything close to the quality for the price. The blue-tooth is a big bonus for me since I listen to my audio book while on the treadmill and I was using a battery powered mobile speaker for that.Connecting (Inputs):Hooking these up was simplicity itself. They support phono, optical digital, aux, and the all important USB. The 41's don't support optical digital according to manual, I got the R-51PM so I have to take their word for it. One thing I wasn't expecting was the remote, for the computer I can mute and control the volume from my keyboard so I didn't think it would be a benefit to me. The remote allows the switching between inputs as well, allowing me to switch over to blue-tooth and back to USB for computer. Otherwise I would need to press on the volume dial located on the back of the speaker, behind my monitor and against the wall every time I want to use the blue-tooth or switch back.Quick note, after hooking up these speakers I didn't get any audio even though my computer recognized them and set them as audio output. These speakers don't auto switch between inputs. The color of the LED you can slightly see through the removable mesh indicates which input speakers are currently on. The USB is white and soon as I switch it over beautiful sound filled the air.Volume:Just WOW! At first it was disappointingly low. After a little trial and error I found the volume control on my PC/Keyboard would only have the range up to what ever volume the speakers are set too. I like this, I set the speaker volume to just short of rattling the walls, less than their full volume. Then when I adjust the volume from my computer it will only reach up to the volume the speakers are set too. This should keep me from startling my neighbors awake. I actually find myself using the volume control on the computer/keyboard now, finding the sweet spot for each situation and mood. For immersion in games, volume and quality of sound is essential. Some cheaper speakers would probably have been adequate. There are some highly rated brands a step down and I'm not an audiophile, but having speakers that are more than what I need now means they'll give me that extra quality and sound while meeting or exceeding my future needs. Conclusion:For the price they are not the best solution for everyone, especially if you don't spend some time on the computer playing games and/or listening to music. If you can splurge for these, it will be an investment you can reap the rewards from for decades, unlike computers and even monitors which need regular upgrading to stay relevant, quality speakers will still be quality and usable for as long as you own them. I have no regrets getting them and glad I did splurge. They have really good sales if you can wait and are patient.

Awesome highs and mids. Clear sound seperation, GREAT for movies, pretty good for music
For the price these speakers are amazing. They sound great right out of the box, super easy to set up and they arent too big and bulky.I work as a stage tech and monitor technician for a production company and have an associates in audio engineering so i have a decent ear, but am by no means an expert in audio. For my ears, the r51pms are great. The distinct seperation of sounds/instruments is REALLY good; very evident when watching movies.Ive seen Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban 100 times... ive never noticed that in the scene in the beginning where harry is discussing Sirius Blacks' whereabouts with arthur that percy weasily is magically pouring coffee in the background UNTIL watching that film using these speakers. I could clearly hear liquid pouring on the left side of the soundstage and then for the first time looked in that direction and saw that! It was kind of mind blowing lolFor music id say they are ok. Im used to hearing music through a DB Technologies Vio 20 box line array rig flown in the air and through 8 massive Vio subs mixed well using a m32 in large venues at work; so im kind of a harsh judge, but at home these sound great when paired with the klipsch r120sw. If your main use of these will be to listen to music then i would DEFINITELY recommend a sub woofer... even if you cant afford a sub maybe opt for the r41pms instead and take that money you save and add it towards a sub. The r51pms dont have enough low end output for me personally. Even the r100sw wasnt enough, but when i got the 120sw it made everything come together. Im EXTREMELY satisfied with the audio quality with the 51pms and the 120sw its a match made in heaven. My ONLY complaint is the remote.... by itself its perfectly fine BUT for some reason i guess it operates on the same frequency as my tv remote (insignia qled 55 inch) and when i turn down the speakers IT REWINDS MY SHOWS/VIDEO!!!! SO FRUSTRATING so i have to press down on the tv remote to take it off the scroll bar of the content to like the subtitle setting or whatever it is for that specific application, THEN turn down the speakers, other wise the klipsch remote will rewind my content. Super super annoying.... i guess i have to get a universal remote or something idk.As far as the build qaulity... its klipsch. They are nice lol. I personally dont really care how a speaker looks if it sounds good, but even i gotta admit the copper drivers look nice. I keep the fabric mesh covers (which is nice and thick and uses magnets) on them so they are blacked out in the background when watching movies and i dont see them but they are pleasant to look at with or without the covers. The "wood" grain laminent is nice too. Gotta give klipsch a 5/5 on the build quality. All in all i would give them a 4 out of 5 (just bc of lack of bass frequency) but when paired with a sub they are an easy 5 out of 5. Definitely recommend! Especially for watching movies
