MY NEW FAVORITE PRODUCT!
As a ComicCon attendee, I was looking for the perfect portable chair to merge with my ConBackpack. So I Googled "portable chairs", assuming I was going to settle with a collapsible triangle chair. Then, the SitGo popped up. It was a little pricier than a triangle chair, but I bought one due to it's compacting ability and it's coolness factor. As far as usability, it sets up quick and is extremely durable. It had no problem whatsoever supporting my 200# frame. Of course a camping chair would probably be more comfortable if you're planning on sitting for a long time, but if you are line waiting, this does the job very well. Your butt does get numb if sitting in one position for an extended time, say 20 minutes or so, but to counteract that I just changed seating heights, and it helped. As far as the compacting: It fit perfectly in my backpack's water bottle holder, and weighs a little more than a full bottle of water. That was my second favorite part of the SitGo. My favorite part of owning a SitGo is the coolness and uniqueness factor. So many heads were turned when I broke it out and sat on it. Making me feel like I was cool, modern, and hip to new technology. I even let a girl waiting in line with me use it for a bit, and she was so grateful. Score! My only negative thing to say is I never received a return email from the company after sending a request to buy wholesale. As a reseller, I thought it would be a great product to sell at conventions. That being said, it doesn't have anything to do with the accurately described, well built product.

It’s good, but lacking in a couple spots..
Price was okay, color is great, ease to put “up”, but after three or four uses while on a day trip at a cruise ship port, it was stuck and I had to have help getting it apart and slid into itself. The grommet in the end of it came off and had to be put back on, a couple of times. Hauling it around at port added a lot of extra weight. At first I didn’t think so but after taking it out and hand carrying it, my backpack was a LOT lighter. All that being said, I was very grateful to have a portable chair!! I really like that you can adjust it to varying heights. It was comfy for being a one legged stool/lean to. Overall I’d buy it again, but someone else will have to carry it or other crap that was in the backpack. ;)

The videos don't demonstrate how noisy this is
I like the strength of the stool. However I don't like the clanky sound it makes when deploying and stowing it. Having the carabiner hook attached also contributes to the noise like it were a wooden bell. It also takes more time to set up than a typical short tripod stool. I wouldn't recommend it for museums, no guarantee it would be allowed anyway.

Not worth buying. Bad for Disneyland.
I bought this specifically for Disneyland. Twice I was not allowed to bring in the park. I ended up hiding it in the bushes outside the park. I think if I said it was a kids toy they would have let it in. I did have it the first day in the park. Once in the park there is no problem. It was difficult to use in line so I almost never used it. The only time I actually used it was at rope drop where it was nice, and at the night show where it wasn't that great. As a chair it's a bad option. It is no better than sitting on a handrail. At Disneyland all I want is to sit down the entire time I am there and I swear they make sitting down there terrible on purpose. There are a shortage of shaded benches and the ones that are, are pretty uncomfortable. This thing was worse than Disney benches. If you had to stand like at rope drop it was definitely nice. I have a hard time standing for long periods, and by hard I just mean it's uncomfortable and I hate it. At the night show this helped a little but by the end of the day I was so fatigued with standing that this did almost nothing to relieve the discomfort. It did collapse on me once in line. It doesn't lock in place great, but it is strong when it does.Overall it wasn't comfortable and was a hassle at Disneyland. I can't actually think of a different place I would use it but I do avoid places you have to stand for long periods. It wasn't worth buying.

Good thought but no
This product is just okay. Pros: lightweight, small size, carabiner clip for attachment, quick set up and down Cons:very uncomfortable, feels unsafe as though someone may accidentally kick it from under you in a crowd (or not even in a crowd), just way to unstable, makes your butt go numbBottom line: Be safe, sit down on the ground. Bring an old blanket, a towel, old tabelcloth or something to sit on. Try a backpack chair instead *Update* This product slipped out from under me. It is to unstable. I am returning it. It is unsafe. I highly recommend a chair or stool that is lightweight, packable, easy to carry and folds up small. Amazon sells a multitude of them.

For those of us with ankle, knee and leg issues, this makes theme parks enjoyable again!
So, as an FYI I don't like to write a review until I've had a decent amount of time to try out a product. I did receive this as a gift for Christmas, and had to buy another one because I forgot it as I was packing for my recent trip to Disney!Things this stool isn't - this stool is not a sit comfortably and carefree for hours kind of stool. At first it is a little scary and you may wonder how well it grabs the ground. But trust me, I've used it a lot and it has never slipped! This is one product where it is really beneficial to read the instructions on how to sit. The base should be at about a 30 degree angle from your body (very important!)So I have a serious ankle problem and standing still is excruciating. It's a combination of the gravity, inflammation, and bearing all of my (kind of substantial) weight without moving. So standing in a line anywhere has always been so painful. The Sitgo is perfect for this situation and it alleviated so much pain. I kinda cried tearss of joy (seriously) because I've been so miserable at the theme parks prior to receiving this. It's convenient too, it can clip onto a belt loop or inside a backpack, even a larger purse. It goes up and down in10 seconds one you get the hang of it. I'm truly grateful to the maker of this product, it has actually improved my quality of life!

If you go to any amusement park and have to wait in lines this is a must!
Easy to fold up, not very heavy. Standing in line for a long time will not be nearly as bad if you have one of these!

Not Impressed
I would definitely not use this on a hard surface in fear that it would slip. The base is only hard plastic. The locking system is also not very secure and you really have to make sure the sections are properly in place. If you have bad knees this is not for you. Will be returning.

Heavy duty
The rest of the similar seats have a low load limit, which means you can't actually sit on them, just lean o them. The sit go, which has about a 50% higher load limit than the average means you lean on it but also sit right on it. It is well designed and very adjustable. It's a little heavy and bulky compared to the light duty models but that's to be expected considering it will hold up 300lbs.
