Does the magnet cause issues with the old magnetic strips on the cards?

Yes it MOST CERTAINLY does erase your cards. Out of the three cards I had in this wallet it erased the magnetic strip information of all of them. One ID, one bank card debit, and one credit card. Im beyond upset as I can no longer replace one of those cards. I wish I would've seen this before buying.

Yes, there is a pocket above the I'd pocket. A great spot to put your credit card or debit card.

There is a hidden pocket along the side that could fit a child's hand full of coins or a card or two.
