the basic unit is 7-3/8" wide, 5-1/4" deep and 2" thick, if you add on the mounting bracket with thumb screws its 8-7/8" wide, with the enclosed at unit measures 6-5/8 deep. Hope this helps you. Safe trucking, REACT LM 131.

No computer necessary. You can receive digital and analog signals for all fire and police, etc. it is also portable you can take it with you. A bit hard to program, but worth it.

Dont see why you couldn't. You really dont have to use a computer thats only if you want even more channels. I have all my local channels, and then some and i haven't programmed it from computer. I got codes online
