TPS Protectant & Restorative

I have been battling with Calcium buildup on my tile, grout and rock work. This stuff works extrmely well so far. I am using in in combination with a few pool additives that the pool company recommended as well. I started using this about 1 month ago and as of now I have had only small amounts of calcium sticking to the edges of my tile. It brushes right off and does not stick to the tile. I have had very little build up on the rock waterfall or the rocks that are in the pool. This stuff acts as a sealant and can be put on tile, rock and the grout as well. Couple of things to know if you use this. 1. Use it as soon as you get it, once it is opened it will turn to gel in about 2 to 3 days. 2. When not using it put it in the fridge. 3. Make sure your tile is clean and water is below the grout line 4. Use a sponge that will not break apart. A car wax applicator works well 5. Do not use alot at a time, just enough to cover the tile, grout or rock 6. After you cover the tile, DO NOT reapply more, it dries very fast and will bead up on you and make a mess 7. DO NOT allow excess to run down on your pool surface, it will discolor, if any gets on it, use the water and wipe it off 8. After it dries and you fill the pool back up, you will find some that comes off and it will be alittle like silicone, but it will float on top and you can get it up. That is just excess that does not stick to the tile. This stuff gives your tile the wet look all the time as well, you will notcie bead lines from water not sticking to the tile, even under the water line. For rock work, water beads off of it and very little calcuim will stick to them. OVERALL Very satisfied and a must have.

This is a good product to prevent calcium from building up on the water line of your pool. I applied it last month and so far it's holding up and preventing ugly calcium from clinging on the pool tile especially on the pool water line.

Living in the Phoenix area we constantly battle with hard water and calcium buildup on the pool tiles. Use Scale Be Gone for removing the calcium scale on the tiles then use TPS tile protectant and the pool tiles look brand new. Very easy to apply and dries quickly. I used a simple painters sponge with a handle to apply directly to the tiles.

I own a pool tile cleaning business, and this seems to be the product everyone is using to seal tiles after cleaning. I'm not sold on the fact that it really does much. My biggest challenge with the stuff is if you aren't really careful with the stuff it turns to jello. I keep mine in the fridge, and then have to put it in a cooler with ice when I go on a job. Even with doing that and squeezing all the air out of the container each time I use it, I have yet to be able to use more than 1/2 a bottle before it turns to gell and I have to through it out.
