Finally, a pair of socks that fit my 17 inch (43 cm) calves and size 13 US (45 EU) feet!
I have 17 inch (43 cm) calves and size 13 US (45 EU) feet. I'm not particularly heavy nor do I workout, but I have genetically large calve muscles.I struggle to find over-the-calf socks that will actually, you know, go over the calves. I have even sourced from big and tall stores with very little luck. I have a few aging, disintegrating pairs of socks that fit well, but the manufacturers did not tag/mark them in any identifiable way, nor can I find them in my online purchase history, so I am unable to just get more of what's already working. But these Realtree socks fit GREAT. The fit over my feet, they fit over my calves, they don't constrict, they don't slide down, they're warm, they're padded appropriately - just fantastic.I'm going to get more of these. My search continues, however, for thinner socks for non-winter wear that fit like these, but for the cold weather these are my new go-tos. Highly recommended.

Good socks
Very nice socks. They seem well made, and very thick. They are very tall, almost to the knee, which is what I wanted. They aren't quite soft as some other Merino socks that I own, but they are comfortable.

Durable heavyweight sock.
I’ve had 2 pair of these socks for over a year and they are wonderful. I got tired of cheap merino wool socks wearing through at the heel, shrinking and not staying pulled. These socks have solved all these issues. They are not itchy and due to their heavyweight construction, are incredibly warm.

Better than expected
These are great. Got them for a trip to Seattle area where I knew I'd be doing a fair amount of hiking, with maybe some snow. Glad I did, as there was way more snow than expected. But hours of pushing through snow up to my knee (or deeper) and they were comfortable and warm, even when soaking wet. I only had trail running shoes to wear, so I glad I had these socks to keep my feet warm. Only used them for 4 days of hiking up there, but they held up perfectly (no sign of wear) and came through two washes no problem. Can't say anything about durability yet, but it certainly seems promising.A bit warm/thick for summer hiking, although they'd work in a pinch. But great for cooler weather and would be great for skiing. Not the most fashionable socks ever, but that's not really why you wear socks like this.

Great socks
If you’re a fire fighter, full-time or volunteer, wool socks are the only way to go. They won’t burn. Perfect protection for your feet.

Excellent socks for the money
I bought a pair of these recently just to compare with other, more expensive, socks that I have been wearing almost exclusively. The other socks are a bit thicker and denser. These socks have 80% merino wool which puts them in a similar range with my others at 78% but way ahead of most of the socks sold on Amazon as "merino wool socks" which typically have 15 or 20 percent merino wool and the rest is something synthetic. So, having said that here are the pros and cons.PRO: Less expensive than other similar socksPRO: High percent of merino woolPRO: These are warmer than the others I've been wearing (probably due to the loop construction on the inside.CON: the other socks I wear cost almost twice the price, but come with a lifetime warranty which I know from experience the manufacturer will back up if you are willing to pay the postage to sent the worn out socks back to them. I don't know how durable these socks will be, but suspect they will not last quite as long as my others.Overall, however, I am ordering several more pairs of these before the price goes up. I like them a lot and they are at least an order of magnitude better than most of the socks you can order or find at the store.

Great Socks
I was sick and tired of socks wearing out and turning into a slinky, in my boot, where I'm unable to grab it. And so I bought these "Over the calf" socks. I still use them but they almost go over my knee caps. 😅 And with long underwear on, trying to get these off....would make a good video! Excellent material and warm, just too long.

Love these socks.
These socks are great for hunting in the winter. They keep your feet nice and warm as long as your wearing the right boots with them. I’m a whitetail hunter so there are a lot of long sits in cold and windy days. These help make those days bearable. The are super long which I don’t mind. They don’t slide down your leg and bunch up in your boot. They seem to be reliable and really well made socks. For the price I would definitely recommend getting.

Best socks ever
Bought 4 pairs of these socks 4 years ago , wear them pretty much every day in the colder months (live in Alberta cold for 6 months) they have the full 4 years , they don’t have any holes in them whatsoever, but after 4 years they are getting a little thinner, I only realized this when my new ones came , but I never noticed my feet getting cold because of it. The only reason I bought more was because we got a new pup and he has acquired a fetish for my socks , so I was down to 2 pairs ….. but these socks you won’t be disappointedPS: I only bought two pairs recently because I was not sure if they are the same socks because it’s been four years….. just recieved them and they are the same socks ….. ordering two more pairs as we speak

Not really heavyweight.
I've got some other heavyweight wool socks and this particular sock would fall more into the midweight category in my opinion. They're warm and well made, but don't expect a really thick heavyweight sock. e.g. I've got a couple of pair of Ducks Unlimited heavyweight wader socks and they're significantly thicker.

Warm and cover your whole calm
I’ve been wearing these socks for a couple years now, quality is great and have had no issues. These are long socks that will cover your calf and go right to below the knee. Depending on your leg length I guess. For me this is great for winter. They help keep my legs and feet warm and yes they are warm but not so much that you sweat. Plus they are wool so your feet don’t get humid and stinky, which is a big plus. I have a spine problem and my feet are almost always cold and these socks help a lot. They are not tight around the cuff so they don’t leave marks on your legs and at the same time they are tight enough that they will not fall down, I’ve never had them slide down at all in the years I’ve been using these. For washing I hang to dry after, never had them shrink. Plus they do have a bit of stretch to them. These are comparable to the duck unlimited socks. I also got those from the store here in town and I’d say they are more or less the same warmth and quality and fit. I can’t tell the difference and I’d buy ether one in the future, which ever one is on sale :-)
