Works as advertised
I used this on a 2003 Chevy Malibu to install a nice aftermarket stereo system. It gave a wire-splice free, clean install and kept the electronic systems from having any issues.

Very satisfied, Highly recommend
Needed to purchase this for my car's deck upgrade. Bought it here for less than 1/3 of the cost at my local retailer. And the installation to my new deck was quick and easy after taking a few minutes to read the instructions, just connect the same color wires to your decks wires. Couldn't be happier with the product I received, came quickly from the seller. Mine was the dark blue colored deck harness (the computer chip plastic box) instead of the grey one. Maybe it varies, but just saying which one to maybe to refer to in the pictures, but cant guarantee.TIP!!!!!!! ---- NOT all wires will be used. I was freaking out cause not all my wires were being used but I had about 2 wires not be used in the end from the deck I think. The "dimmer" and "remote" wire did not get used for me. Also, since i do not have a Boss sound system, you cut off the RCA connectors and splice the wires to their appropriate wire. It's all color coded. But just some tips that I think would be helpful.I do have a picture if anyone wanted it. May not be extremely helpful, but just something to maybe see. Can just send me an email and ill send it to you.

It WORKS!!!
I purchased the 'other brand' adapter and it sounded funky, just like this one does. You can't emulate the sound you get from your cars stereo system with a little speaker. Get over it. It bongs when it should, and you get the message. Your unhappiness should be directed at Chevrolet, who is obviously trying to make us buy the Factory $y$tem instead of aftermarket. The big difference is that the 'other brand' unit would mess up. The fix? Just pull the fuse, then it's back in action... and all your radio station presets are gone, and you have to reset the clock, etc. I actually gave up on setting up radio stations, the thing faulted so much. Finally it quit altogether. I saw reviews elsewhere indicating that the PAC unit worked and kept on working, so I gave it a try. It's still working today, and I have yet to have to pull the fuse. I've actually programmed in my radio stations, and I have forgotten how to set the clock. Don't waste time and money on the other one, this one Just WORKS!

Radio Replacement Interface, It's OK
The product works great and does exactly what it says but there is one problem, and it's a BIG one. The interface has a little speaker in it which is used for safety and warning chimes because the stock one will no longer work. The problem is that the chime sounds HORRIBLE. It sounds EXTREMELY cheap and it is VERY loud. I was able to lower the volume of it by simply wrapping it with electrical tape but it still sounds EXTREMELY cheap and crackly. I have also used the Scocshe interface and it sounds cheap as well but not as bad. The problem with the Scocshe is that sometimes it didn't work at all. Sometimes after turning my truck on my stereo wouldn't even turn on, so I'd have to turn off my truck and back on for it to work. Overall, the quality of the PAC seems to be better, except for the chimes. I'm really confused how both companies that make the interface except the quality of the chime, its really THAT bad. I will most likely end up disabling the speaker, plus the chimes aren't really that necessary. Hope this helps!!

Work great but bad sound.
PAC products always seem to work as advertised, and this is no exception. Connectivity is great, and the instructions show you what you need. Pretty much just match up the standard colors for most of it. The only complaint I have is that the chime is a bit loud and sounds kind of cheap. It is hard to describe. I just put a little piece of tape on the speaker to quiet it down a touch. Overall this is great for those people with base level factory radios that they are replacing. This was installed in a 2006 Pontiac GT with no On-Star, and just the base radio. I used this to install a Pioneer DEH-P6200BT without issues.

Do not use this if you have steering wheel controls.
Red accessory wire was not soldered well to the circuit board and fell right off. I was able to easily solder it back by sliding the board out. Other than that, it works great. Chime is a bit different than OEM but not bad. Used this product on a 2005 Chevy Silverado with standard Bose and no steering wheel controls. It works for non-Bose as well, just have to snip off RCA ends. If powering back up camera off the accessory you will have to use a 12v relay and fuse tap as the smart harness is only rated for 2 amps. Instructions show how the circuit should be wired.

Does the job...
I bought this unit because I was replacing my factory audio components with new head unit/speakers, etc. I wanted something to keep the factory sounds, and ensure the databus was left intact. This unit seemed to fit the bill because it allowed you to completely bypass the integrated amp/speakers altogether. The unit works fine, but there are three problems.1) It doesn't sound like the factory unit (minor)...it is very close.2) It makes a very high pitched whine when I start the engine, almost like alternator noise is getting into the system.3) It does not give all warning chimes. I left my parking brake partially engaged, and it did not warn that they were on.If you do want to replace your components, then this will get the job done, but it does have some shortcomings.

Needed when bypassing Onstar and the Bose system but keep warning chimes.
Worked Great when upgrading my factory Bose system with a newer Aftermarket system with multiple amplifiers in my 2004 Cadillac Escalade EXT. I still kept my backup warning chimes and my stereo will still stay on when ignition is turned off. I got rid of the Onstar which I never used or planned to. Since I wasn't going to use the factory Bose amp this allowed me to bypass and run the stereo like an older car. I agree the chime unit is annoyingly loud. I wrapped mine with some shipping foam and zipties and stuffed it in the dash. It still has that distorted ring to it some but not as annoying.
