Honest Lumens, Honest Quality
I previously used the $10 bestseller BV light, which uses AAA batteries. With that cheap light, you will eventually be burning through your batteries, and it's just not bright enough for use at night or even twilight. Moving to this light was a huge upgrade as it allows for actual night riding. The light is very bright on the medium and high settings. The lumen output is honest and appears to be accurate (I received the 900-lumen model.) It's scandalous that Amazon allows bike lights with ridiculous 9000+ lumen claims, but this is the real deal. The mount is secure with my 23mm handlebars, but it's still possible to tilt the light down by hand to avoid dazzling people at night, or pointing straight ahead for use in the daytime to be visible to cars. I primarily use the light for its flashing function during the day, and its battery life is certainly long enough to not be annoying. I appreciate the red light showing when the battery is low. The construction is good and I've had no issues riding in the rain. My only criticism is that the way you need to hold the button for 3 seconds to turn it off or 5 seconds to enter blinking mode (or walk mode) is not convenient or intuitive. I think that it would be better if the light simply cycled from Off>Walk>Low>Medium>High>Blinking>Off and optionally hold 3 seconds to turn off. For the price it was very good value, but the price does seem to fluctuate.

Small, powerful light with a defuser lens. Good mounting options.
I selected this light for its defuser lens, which spreads the beam sideways. That's particularly helpful for me when I get caught out on a winding trails at dusk or night. If I were to do planned night rides I would probably add a second light atop my helmet, without a defuser. NiteRider model selections include with and without a defuser. The compact Micro versions such as this one are well suited for helmet mounting. The light is sufficiently bright to be effective at the middle brightness setting. The battery life has been more than sufficient for my needs, but I haven't done any multi-hour night rides and I haven't used it enough to get a good calibration of the full battery capacity. The clamp style mount that comes with this model seemed to work, but only barely for my small diameter handlebar. It looks vulnerable to tipping under the jarring of a rough trail ride and its rigidity doesn't work well for clamping to a tapered section of a handlebar. Also, it's a bit bulky. I prefer NiteRider's rubber strap mount, which I purchased separately. It is very solid on my bar, with no tendency to tip. One of the reasons I chose NiteRider was the availability on Amazon of alternate mounts that can be purchased separately. That's reassuring to me. I recently retired a perfectly good Kryptonite light because I lost the mount and could not replace it.

Charging, sleek shape, not too heavy, and quality is a plus
Great product, somewhat light on the wearer. Easy to use. Charging area is small; uses an usb charger. Watch out on the rubber piece covering the charging area on the product, that it could easily tear off. Make sure you close it, don’t leave it hanging off. This rubber piece protects it from moisture and dust. The charge lasts according to specks. The light output is immense. Do make sure when you get this that you read the directions, due to the product has to be charged at least 2 to 3 hours before using and it has an anti-turn on mode(press power on button when fully charged for at least 7 seconds to turn on.) be patient. This product does work! I use it on both handle bars and helmet(still waiting for availability for the helmet strap). It is highly recommended to use both on ones helmet and one on your handlebar for night riding. Awesome brand and product. Customer service is a plus. I did call them due to a strap broke on my rear light. They sent one out for free within 2 days. I would definitely get another one.

Excellent light
I bought 2 of these, one 1200, one 850. Both perform excellently, battery lasts as long as I ride (I have not run out of juice yet on a ride). I ride for a couple of hours at a time. I do charge it between rides. Charging is quick. I also got the helmet holder. Put the 1200 on the bars and the 850 on the helmet.

Nice light
I've only been mountain biking for about 4 years now. This is the 2nd light that I've purchased and am very happy with it. My previous light was a Niterider Swift 450 and I felt it was adequate for the price. I dropped it in the street and it was run over by a car hence the need for a new light. This 850 is a very nice, bright light. My only issue is that I preferred the simple strap mount of the Swift model to the way this one mounts.Quick mention, I read some reviews that gave the light 1 star because it would not light up. I almost fell into the same trap until I read to instructions, you need to hold the button down for 7 seconds in order to unlock it.

Excellent High Quality Product
This is the perfect bike light. It’s very well constructed using sturdy components, is highly water resistant, it’s small and light but has a very powerful beam, it has a well designed handlebar stand that click-swivels to set the right angle, it has a glass lens, a thick rubber tab covers the USB port that seals very tightly to prevent water damage, it has a long battery life (9 hours in low-mode), and a very attractive design. It is a perfectly designed bike light.Buy it, you’ll love it.IMPORTANT NOTE: after removing from box, hold down the on/off switch for 7 seconds to disengage the power-lock mode. Many bad reviews were from people who didn’t unlock it—if all else fails, read the instructions...

Perfect for night riding
I am an avid mountain biker and I love night rides. In the past I have used two to lights to achieve proper illumination. This light performs great, It provides me with over 2 hours of light with three different levels of brightness. I purchased the helmet mount separately and now I only use one light.

Ottima luce compatta
Eccellente luce per bicicletta o monopattino. Molto compatta e luce molto molto intensa.
