Trying to put on safety eyes used to be a nightmare before these, leaving my hands in pain and red. With these, however, it is a breeze to use and can easily add safety eyes in about 5 seconds. It is very comfortable and isn't small, but it is small enough to fit in my crochet bag. So far, it works great and was worth every penny

Works well. Feels like it might snap if you squeeze too hard, but it does press easily and makes a tight connection.

Eye setter for crocheting was a nice find. Some difficulty setting the eyes into head projects.

I love making toys. My (adult) kids get amigurumi toys in their stockings every year, and I often make them for friends as well. I'd be happy if I could do nothing but sit and crochet critters all day. However, a few years ago, I was hit by a malady that caused weak, painful joints, including my hands. I used to be able to get those safety eyes into the toy with no problem at all. Now? The last toy I made without this tool, I actually had to put the head in my mouth and use my teeth (not recommended!) because I couldn't find a tool in the house that gripped the eye well enough to attach the backing. Ugh!When I spotted these safety eye tools, it was like an answer to a little toy-maker's prayer. The tool was a bit fidgety to get just in the right position, but once it was lined up, a gentle squeeze of the handle did the trick. I didn't even have to squeeze hard. It was so easy.Although the tool is made of plastic, it seems to be fairly durable. I'm sure a few (or a few hundred 😉) toys worth of use will tell whether it holds up well or not. If I see any problems down the line, I'll come back and edit this review.

Makes adding eyes to my little hand made critters so so easy. So glad I got it. It does work better on larger eyes.

Too flimsy , you can’t even press hard enough to snap the eyes shut .

I love this tool. I had purchased a different one and it did not work for the small eyes (6mm and under). This one has the attachment that you insert specifically for the smaller eyes. It works like a gem! Love it!
