Auto Genny Start
Works great but you need to have your genny wiring diagram to figure out the wiring. This takes a top level DIYer to install but tech can help you thru it if needed

Product description doesn’t tell you that it only works with only 1 type of Xantex inverter!
Wasted a lot of time buying , calling Xantex and having to return this item .THIS is totally BS and uncalled for!!

Techical Challange
Installed this AGS on my Xantrex 3012...had to remove the 2012 because it won't charge lithium. Do your homework prior to attempting installation. Use your generator manufacture to obtain the correct wiring configuration: Start/Stop, pre-heat, thermostat etc. Once you know what each generator wire's function is, just match up with the AGS cabling.

you must buy system controller and inverter if you want this to work.
This is only part of the system to auto start a generator. You must buy the whole system to start your generator automatically. You must be ready to spend about $1,000 if you want it to work

Easy installation. The only problem appeared to be caused by a fault in the generator. Once cleared, no problem. Xantrex provided good support!

Only time I knew it was inverter specific was in the Manual
If you don’t have a Xantrex inverter don’t purchase won’t work with Renogy inverter

Fast delivery.
The controller replaces one that is 12 years old. It is the computer control that starts and stops an off grid diesel generator. It detects low battery voltage and starts the generator. Essential when no one is home to manually start the generator
