Got a 4 pak, came in a secure plastic box. Gasket looks more than adequate. Dont know if leakage will come from the top or the vent, but minimally these will keep the threads clean and ready to go. Since I started refilling these one pounders, wanted to keep the threads clean.

I use the one pound propane bottles to power the Coleman stove I take camping. The propane bottles come with plastic thread protectors, but they do not provide any backup to a leaky valve. These solid brass caps fit the one pound propane bottles perfectly. They protect the threads and they provide an additional safety seal to prevent your valuable propane from leaking out in case you do have a slightly faulty valve.

As inexpensive as these 1lb propane screw caps are there is no excuse not to get them. What a great piece of insurance and so much easier then those plastic caps. The rubber cap bushing seals are nice and thick and the threads worked great on all four of my bottles. I keep my propane bottles stored indoors and these brass screw caps make me feel a hole lot better about doing so. The caps are machined very well and have nice grove teeth around the edges for easy tightening and loosening. If you use the 1lb bottles all the time its worth having them. Do I need to say I recommend them?

I like to refill my little green bottles when i find them empty and in trash etc.. lots of video on how to refill the one lbs bottles for a ton less than buying them in store.. I looked in a LP can recycling bin at a campgound in yellowstone and it was 5ft high 4 ft wide and 4 ft deep almost full of empties. I WAS like OMG.. most of them are $6-7 a pound,, LP at costso is like $3 a gallon (4.2lbs per gallon of LP) or $1.43 a can.. oh yeah that cheap.. get a refill thing on amazon and a gas grill tank and you are set.. get these caps to keep them safe and easy to use.

Works good for refillable or non refillable propane tanks. Black washer may come off though.. glue or silicone them onto the top I would say.

They keep the threads on my little green propane bottles intact, which is especially important if you refill them. So I have lots of these and give them away to folks. Everyone loves them. Plus I feel a whole lot more secure with this on top of the bottle instead of a little funky plastic top. it came in a nice plastic case as well. Well worth your money.
