After years of keeping scalp psoriasis at bay, it came back really bad in the last 6 months. I had been using psoriasis shampoos and prescribed steroid lotions but it was getting worse. Then I tried anything that had good reviews but nothing was working until I tried this.From the first application it soothed my scalp and the plaques were not thick and raised. Already after 3 days it is less visible when I put my hair up and I'm not uncomfortable or itchy. The smell of the cream is fine and as it's a cream that melts into an oil texture, it's really easy to apply without it getting stuck all in your hair. I barely get any flakes on my shoulders now which used to get embarrassing. Definitely recommend!

This stuff is magic! It has transformed the psoriasis on the backs of my hands. I apply the ointment before going to bed, with my hands in disposable nitrile gloves. Generally it is on for 4-5 hours. There was an obvious improvement within a week! I have given it a rest now for about a month & there is little regression. I plan to give it another go to see if I can clear the skin further.The smell is less disgusting to me than some people seem to find it: it's tar, what do you expect? To me it smells of success. On the other hand, it's probably as well that I sleep alone. Tar is carcinogenic, but, like any carcinogen, cessation of exposure allows molecular repair to proceed; in the same way that, after giving up smoking, the likelihood of lung cancer decreases progressively.

I have patches of psoriasis on my legs and this ointment soothes it and dries the areas. My doctor recommended it and it does help to manage this skin condition.

Bought this for very very bad hair follicle infection. Although it won’t get rid of that particular thing on its own, what it does is get rid of all the gunge around them to help other products / antibiotics work .. very happy with item and if needed again will definitely purchase.

Cleared up a large, hard patch of psoriasis on my daughter's head with 4 applications.Not much dearer than a prescription charge and so much better than what the GP prescribed.Just rubbed it into scalp and left overnight. Need to use a towel on the pillow as it is greasy but definitely worth it. If you have been struggling with red, dry, flakey patches for any length of time I definitely recommend giving this a try.

I'm not going to complain about the smell because it is quite noticeable. I have had pretty bad psoriasis for more than a few years after originally getting it around the age of 25. I'm now 60 and have used many treatments of which more than few did only a negligible job.The fact that this has coal-tar included is, for me, the game changer. It has done a job on my scalp psoriasis and it looks to me that it could become a permanent fixture on my shopping list.

The only problem I had was a very thick ointment so I warmed the tube up in hot water for a few minutes and then used it and it went on well and massaged easily. Left it on for 4 hours before washing off and then using a coal tar shampoo. After 24 hours still hardly any flakes. Magic!

I am sorry that this item did not work I have patches of psoriasis that have not improved at all since purchase maybe in future reviewers should put a photo of before and after I bought on the bases of the reviews
